摘要： A linear compressor has a hollow piston (8002) with crown (8009) and sidewall (8006) reciprocating in a cylinder with a piston rod (8000) connecting the piston (8002) to a spring. A axially stiff but laterally compliant connection (8001) between the piston rod (8000) and the piston (8002) transmits axial forces directly to the piston crown (8009) while transmitting lateral forces to the piston (8002) at axial location away from the piston crown (8009). The connection (8001) allows rotational flexibility between the piston (8002) and the piston rod (8000) transverse to and uniformly around the piston reciprocation axis.

摘要： The present invention relates to a suspension spring for supporting a linear compressor housed within a hermitic shell as typically found in a vapour compression refrigeration system. The spring is substantially planar in form, having a hub portion and a spiral arm portion. The hub connects to the body of the compressor assembly. The spiral arm portion curves around the hub portion at least one full turn before attaching to the wall of the compressor housing. The suspension spring of the present invention provides lateral stability to the reciprocating compressor assembly while maintaining axial flexibility.

摘要： A small, permanent magnet rotor, synchronous electric motor, suitable for use in, for example, a home appliance such as a refrigerator/freezer to drive a fan blade. The rotor of the motor is provided with two, axially displaced magnetic pole pairs, each positioned within an air gap in a single magnetic circuit. A clutch is also provided so that, for example, a fan blade may be mounted on the rotor and the motor may be started reliably, in the correct direction and accelerate relatively slowly to synchronous speed. Further embodiments of the motor include stators having two and three magnetic pole pairs. The method of construction of the stator magnetic circuit ensures efficient usage of stator material.
