    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for widening a pile pit for a cast-in-place concrete pile, which enable the adjustment of an angle of inclination of a widened section for being excavated.
      SOLUTION: This pile pit widening device 10 for widening the pile pit for the cast-in-place concrete pile is used by being mounted on a kelly-bar 2 as a body of rotation. The device 10 comprises: a supporting body 1 which is rotated with the kelly-bar; a guide rail 3 which is rotatably connected to the supporting body 1, and which can change the angle of inclination in a vertical plane with respect to a rotating shaft of the supporting body 1; a hydraulic jack 2 for adjusting the angle, which changes the angle of the inclination of the guide rail 3; an excavating member 5 which is guided along the guide rail 3, which is elongated to the side of an outside diameter from the guide rail 3, where an excavating bit 6a is provided at the leading end on the side of the outside diameter, and where an excavating bit 6b is provided on a lower surface; and a hydraulic jack 4 for widening excavation, which is used for driving the excavating member 5 along the guide rail 3.

      SOLUTION: A pile pit widening device 1 is used by being mounted on a body of rotation, so as to widen a pile pit for a cast-in-place concrete pile. The device 1 comprises a pair of excavating bits 8 and 14 which are provided symmetrically to each other by making a rotating shaft of the body of rotation serve as the center of symmetry and which can be each horizontally oscillated on positions symmetrical to each other by making the rotating shaft serve as the center of symmetry, and actuators 19 and 24 for oscillating the pair of excavating bits 8 and 14. The oscillating angles of both the excavating bits 8 and 14 are adjusted by the actuators 19 and 24, and both the excavating bits 8 and 14 are rotated with the body of rotation by setting a widening radius and an angle of inclination depending on the oscillating angle. This enables an inner wall surface of the pile pit to be widened and excavated at a predetermined depth and a predetermined angle of inclination.

According to the method, extension members 10 and 11 are extended from the cage of reinforcement 5 and the steel pipe 1 to respective portions above a final placement surface C1 of the concrete, and the extension member 10 of the cage of reinforcement 5 and the extension member 11 of the steel pipe 1 are connected together at a location above the final placement surface C1 of the concrete. In this manner the steel pipe 1 is supported at a predetermined location.

Then, a material cost and a placing cost are reduced regarding concrete. The soil amount discharged from the site is also reduced by the fed soil amount.
