Un agencement provisoire (20) peut fournir les dents provisoires grâce à des doigts (25) extensibles vers l'intérieur et pouvant rentrer vers l'extérieur, lesdits doigts étant ôtés par la rétraction vers l'extérieur à l'aide de moyens à cames (29). Une autre possibilité consiste à coller des éléments d'extrémité en plastique (38, 39) dotés de dents aux extrémités opposées du cylindre à paroi lisse pour fournir des dents provisoires, lesdites dents étant usinées après positionnement de l'enroulement. Un ou plusieurs cylindres en plastique, coupés longitudinalement, peuvent être placés de manière à se chevaucher aux bords coupés, et insérés dans l'enroulement mis en place; après quoi ils peuvent être expansés et collés aux bords coupés pour reconstituer un élément de retenue cylindrique interrompue. L'enroulement peut être positionné sur les dents provisoires, manuellement, par des machines d'enroulement conventionnelles ou par des machines d'enroulement et d'insertion conventionnelles. Les stators terminés ne possèdent pas de dents et rainures d'un bout à l'autre du cylindre de fer mais sont dotés d'un enroulement qui est placé contre la paroi intérieure lisse du cylindre en fer, et leur cylindre plastique reconstitué applique et maintient l'enroulement contre la paroi intérieure lisse.

A temporary fixture (20) can provide the temporary teeth by radially inwardly extendable and radially outwardly retractable fingers (25), the fingers being removed by outward retraction through cam means (29). Alternately, plastic end members (38, 39) with teeth may be glued to opposite ends of the smooth-walled iron cylinder to provide temporary teeth, the teeth being machined off after positioning the winding. One or more longitudinally cut plastic cylinders (25) may be overlapped at the cut edges, inserted inside of the positioned winding, and expanded and glued at the cut edges to reform an uninterrupted cylindrical retainer. The winding may be positioned on the temporary teeth by hand, conventional winding machines or conventional winding and insertion machines. The completed stators lack teeth and slots from end to end of the iron cylinder, have the winding placed against the smooth inner wall of the iron cylinder, and have the reformed plastic cylinder pressing and retaining the winding against the smooth inner wall.

    • A low voltage, switch mode PHEMT power amplifier with a 0.1 mum gate length and a low loss, lumped element, output matching circuit is disclosed that provides high performance over a frequency range of 1.4 GHz - 2.5 GHz. The amplifier makes use of monolithic circuit technology for the first stage and output transistor, and uses a printed circuit board with surface mount components for the output matching network. The power output of the power amplifier is stable over a range of 60 degrees centigrade, has high power efficiencies of 44 - 53% with greater than 2 watts output power over the frequency range of 1.4 GHz and 2.5 GHz. In addition, through drain voltage control, the output power can be varied over a wide range between about 0.8 to 2.5 watts while still maintaining a high efficiency in the range of 50 ± 3%.
