    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CO sensor capable of accurately detecting CO without being affected by environmental variation.
      SOLUTION: When CO is oxidized by a catalyst layer 24 applied to an electrode 16 as a detection part, an electric resistance value is varied by the reaction heat thereof, and a difference between the the electric resistance of the electrode 16 and the electric resistance value of an electrode 18 as a compensation part. From the difference in the electric resistance, the concentration of CO is measured. Since a common heater 22 heats the electrode 16 to a proper temperature and also heats the electrode 18 to make equal the temperature resistance value of the electrode 18 to the temperature resistance value of the electrode 16, the sensor is not affected by the environmental changes of ambient temperature and humidity. Also, when the inspection part and compensation part are compared with conventional ones which are self-heated independently of each other, the temperatures of both parts can be accurately made equal to each other and, at the same time, these parts are made hard to be affected by the environmental change.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm whether there is any required information without browsing many sites for every site.
      SOLUTION: Updated contents of updated pages are displayed on one page on the Internet. The contents are accumulated in a database for information in the sites regardless of the sites equipped with RSS or not, and the round of the registered sites is automatically made at every fixed time to make comparison with the contents accumulated in the database. Information not existing in the accumulated contents is regarded as updated, and all collectively displayed on a Web site of this system, and the updated information is sent by e-mail.

    • A measuring apparatus includes: laser sources; and a control unit for outputting an excitation start signal that instructs the laser light sources to start excitation, and outputting an oscillation start signal to instruct the laser light sources to start oscillation after a predetermined time has elapsed from the output of the excitation start signal, so as to generate pulsed light from the laser light sources. The laser sources include a first laser source and a second laser source of which preparation time from the start of the excitation to the generation of the pulsed light is longer than that of the first laser source. The control unit sets timing to output the excitation start signal to the first laser source to follow timing to output the excitation start signal to the second laser source according to a difference of the preparation time between the first and second laser sources.
