    • A sprocket assembly is disclosed for use as a drive or idler wheel for the endless tracks of a track type vehicle. Included is an inner rim rigidly and concentrically mounted to a hub and having a series of studs projecting radially outwardly therefrom at constant circumferential spacings. Each stud has fitted thereon a universal shock absorber having two or more concentric tubes of rigid material with a preloaded elastic member or members engaged therebetween. Disposed concentrically outwardly of the studded inner rim is an outer rim having a series of sprocket teeth formed on its circumference and defining an annular row of radial, inwardly open cavities to closely receive the respective shock absorbers on the studs of the inner rim. The shock absorbers damp the forces exerted between the inner and outer rims in all of the axial, radial, and rotational directions of the sprocket assembly. Preferably, a pair of annular end covers are rigidly mounted to the inner rim and are held against the opposite axial ends of the outer rim via elastic sealing members which are also effective to elastically bear the forces exerted between the inner and outer rims in the axial, radial, and rotational directions of the sprocket assembly.

The track roller unit adjacent the sprocket is preferably pivoted about a pivot center of the first arm positioned at the bottom of the track frame and toward the idler relative to a pivot center of the second arm. The track roller travel improves a flexibility of the track roller to the crawler, and work in a high tractive force is carried out with the track rollers providing unchangeable real contact areas to the ground.

    • A travel gear of a crawler work vehicle has a plurality of double bogie type track wheel devices. The double bogie type track wheel devices respectively include a first arm member attached to the lower part of a track frame so as to be swingable in the vertical direction, a second arm member whose almost center portion in the longitudinal direction is rotatably attached to the tip of the first arm member, and a pair of front and rear track wheels rotatably attached to front and rear ends of the second arm member and rolling on the tread of a crawler. A pair of first guard devices for preventing intrusion of a foreign matter into a space between the pair of front and rear track wheels and the crawler are attached to both side faces in the width direction of the vehicle of the first arm member.

    • An operator cabin on construction equipment is provided with a supporting structure which improves the riding quality by absorbing and damping vibrations and large impacts transmitted to the operator cabin. The right and left side portions of a front portion of the operator cabin (1) are secured to a frame (3) of the body of the construction equipment through damper plate shock absorbers (10R, 10L) or rotatable mounts (30R, 30L), while the right and left side portions of a rear portion of the operator cabin (1) are secured to the frame (3) through spring biased hydraulic shock absorbers (20L, 20R). Each of the shock absorbers has a vibration damping function. In particular, the stroke of the spring biased hydraulic shock absorber is large enough to absorb a large impact energy. This makes it possible to absorb vibration of small amplitude. For a strong shock, the impact energy can be absorbed by oscillating the operator cabin (1) about a pivot axis through the front mounts, allowing damping of the vibration. Lateral oscillation can be minimized by a four-bar parallel linkage which includes upper and lower lateral bars (40a, 40b), one cabin side (1R), and a vertical bracket (4R) positioned adjacent to that cabin side (1R).

    • A crawler vehicle undercarriage which comprises a first cylindrical track frame pivotally mounted to a vehicle frame and a second cylindrical track frame telescopically received within the first track frame. An idler is pivotally and rotatably mounted through a cushion pad to a forward end of the second track frame while a drive sprocket is mounted to a drive shaft. A track chain encompasses the idler and the drive sprocket and is in driven engagement with the drive sprocket. A recoil spring is interposed between the first and second track frames for urging the idler away from the sprocket to maintain track tension. First and second crank members are pivotally mounted to the first track frame with a common pivot axis.
