    • A mobile communication terminal equipment is mounted in a vehicle and can utilize both the satellite and terrestrial communication systems. The mobile communication terminal equipment includes a satellite transceiver and a portable set. The satellite transceiver has a satellite transmission/reception circuit. As required, the portable set is disconnected from the satellite transceiver to be carried by the user. The portable set includes a terrestrial transmission/reception circuit, a signal input/output circuit and a connection selecting switch. The connection selecting switch is automatically controlled to connect the signal input/output circuit selectively to one of the satellite and terrestrial transmission/reception circuits. When the satellite transmission/reception circuit is in connection with the signal input/output circuit, the communication through the satellite wireless communication system can be carried out. When the terrestrial transmission/reception circuit is connected to the signal input/output circuit, the communication through the terrestrial wireless communication system can be carried out.

    • An earth station antenna is employed for telecommunicating with a satellite in combination with an automatic tracking apparatus. The antenna is a dual reflector antenna which comprises a main reflector, a sub-reflector and a primary radiator, and the used frequency band of the antenna is at least 1.8 octaves. A parameter t of the antenna, defined by a configuration of the primary radiator is less than 0.3 at the lowest operating frequency. The phase center of the primary radiator, at a low frequency within the operating frequency range, is made to correspond with the focus of the sub-reflector.The above parameter t is defined by: ##EQU1## where: .lambda.: wavelength in free space,D.sub.h : aperture diameter of the primary radiator,L.sub.h : center axial length from the radiator apex to the radiator aperture plane, andL.sub.s : length from the radiator aperture plane to the bottom surface of the sub-reflector.

    • A monopulse antenna apparatus and antenna structure comprising a single horn having four dielectric bars which are internally inserted into the horn and symmetrically positioned along the axis of the horn. Each one end of the bars are fixed to the end wall of a rectangular waveguide and the other end is extending outwardly along the axis of the rectangular waveguide, thus these four dielectric bars are excited by externally applied electromagnetic waves. The four dielectric bars respectively cause the electric field to converge on the bars, and the single horn with four internally inserted dielectric bars acts as if it is partitioned into four horns.
