    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the top end supporting force of a small diameter steel pipe pile. SOLUTION: The lower end part of the main body 1 of a steel pipe pile and the upper part 2b of a top end supporting body 2 are fixed to a connection tube 5 provided with an auger 6, the lower part 2a of the top end supporting body which is connected continuously with the upper part 2b and of which outer diameter is larger than that of the main body is clogged with a cover 3, and an agitating blade 4 is projectedly installed to the cover in downward direction. Also the steel pipe pile is pressed in and rotated by the auger 6 so as to expand the clearance in soil by the agitating blade 4 and driving the pile. Thus, because it is supported by the top end supporting body 2 of which outer diameter is larger than that of the main body, the top end supporting force is increased and the number of steel piles to be driven and the work period can be reduced.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase mixing and agitating efficiency by further crashing a clod crashed roughly by a digging blade in the wet columnar improvement of soil by a soil improving machine. SOLUTION: A reverse rotating blade 7 of which diameter is larger than a digging diameter D and which is rotatable reversely to a digging shaft is supported pivotally on the digging shaft 1 of a soil improving machine between a digging blade 3 and a rotating blade 5 over it. Because the reverse rotating blade 7 is rotated reversely to the digging blade 3 as digging is advanced, the clod crashed roughly by the digging blade 3 is further crashed by the reverse rotating blade 7, and solidification material is mixed uniformly. As a result, mixing and agitating efficiency is increased, work period is shortened, and the shortage of strength of the improved soil due to insufficient agitation can be eliminated.
