    • Apparatus for limiting a travel path of running gears, in particular hoists, traveling along a running rail of a type having at least one flange and a web, includes a pair of side elements which are securable to opposite sides of the flange and provided with at least one buffer, and a clamping unit in the form of a tie element, for bracing the side elements together and pressing the side elements against the sides of the flange. In order to permit the travel path limitation apparatus to be useable above as well as below the running rail, the side elements have a first pair of aligned throughholes and a second pair of aligned second throughholes oriented parallel to the first pair of throughholes, whereby the tie element extends through the first pair of throughholes of the side elements in a first attachment position of the side elements and extends through the second pair of throughholes of the side elements in a second attachment position in which the side elements are rotated in a vertical direction by 180°. The side elements are urged against one of the flange surfaces by tensioning members which bear upon the flange, whereby support members, positioned in the side elements, support the tensioning member.

    • The invention refers to a load test apparatus for hoisting units by means of strain gages, where the test data affect the transmission of a hoisting unit motor. That is, a load test cell is positioned between the fixed support for the hoisting unit and the hoisting cable. The cell is mounted with an upper bolt connecting it to the fixed support and a lower bolt connecting it to the fixed support and the hoisting cable. In the area between the two bolts the flat cell is of restricted cross section and test gages are mounted here to monitor tensile forces in the cell according to the load. The gages are connected, in turn, through a bridging circuit incorporating resistances to the hoist drive. Because of the simplicity and size of the test structure, it can be manufactured economically by simple mass production techniques.

    • The disclosure relates to a claw clutch mechanism, comprising opposing, interengaged clutch halves, each having axially projecting claws extending into the other. Cylindrical elastic bumpers are interposed between adjacent claws to absorb shock and accommodate axial displacement of the clutch halves. The clutch halves are of pressure cast aluminum construction, formed to provide large radius transitional fillets or roundings at the base of the claws, which correspond in radius to the contours of the cylindrical elastic bumpers. Integral reinforcing rings connect the angularly arrayed claws of each clutch half, both on the outside and the inside of the claws, to provide mechanical support for about half the length of the claw. The reinforcing rings also serve to confine the elastic bumpers, and may be provided with opposed flat surfaces at positions corresponding to bumper locations. The elastic bumpers, which advantageously are formed of a Polyamid plastic, may be connected by an integral bridge ring, accommodating limited torsional displacement of the individual bumper elements. Typically, all of the bumpers will be held in one clutch half, being retained therein by crescent shape spring levers carried by the claws of that clutch half.
