    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that: a consumable electrode wire welding torch to be used in performing welding allows a consumable electrode wire to pass through its inside and supplies power in this condition to generate welding arc and thus some components (such as a contact chip and a nozzle) are consumed and polluted to cause defective welding and the need of exchange and cleaning of each component; excessive labor and time are required because each component has a screw structure when performing the above-described works; a torch having connection parts to be easily changed has an enlarged structure of the connection parts, access to narrow parts or distal parts of a workpiece to be welded becomes thereby difficult, and excellent welding posture and targeting cannot be ensured.
      SOLUTION: A plurality of cut-in slits are formed on the female side of a connection part, the outer circumference thereof is tightened by a spring or an O-ring, and the slits are opened during the exchange. Exchange parts are unitized (chip body units) to increase the speed of exchange.

      SOLUTION: A plurality of cut-in slits are formed in a welding torch side of a connection part of the welding torch and a contact chip, the outer circumference thereof is tightened by a spring or the like. When the contact chip is changed, the slits are opened. The male screw working of the contact chip is not formed, but straight working or tapering is performed instead.

    • A text search method for structured documents and apparatus wherein structured document database to be searched is created by adding logical structure length information to logical structure discriminating information on the basis of a structured document constituted by a plurality of logical structures and logical structure discriminator information, and in searching the structured document database in accordance with an entered search key constituted by a logical structure and a search character string, the search of a logical structure other than the entered logical structure is skipped based upon the data length information.     • Water to be cooled is sprayed through water spray ports at a bottom of an upper water vessel into a filler unit having a plurality of heat exchange surface members extending in parallel with each other to define flow passages between them and concurrently ambient air is sucked transversely into the flow passages. Thus, the water flowing down over the heat exchange surface members is cooled by the ambient air in a cross flow manner. In such cooling of water, some of the flow passages are sectioned so as to supply the water in the upper water vessel to some of flow passages so that in a normal condition with no fear of white smoke being generated, the water is sprayed over all of the heat exchange surface members and direct cooling is effected in every flow passage by the ambient air. In a condition with a possibility of the white smoke being generated, spray of the water into some of the flow passages is interrupted so that the direct cooling by the ambient air of the water in the flow passages into which the water is sprayed is effected simultaneously with dry heating of the ambient air flowing through the flow passages into which no water is sprayed and wet air resulting from the direct cooling is mixed with dry air resulting from the dry heating. As a result, the white smoke is prevented from being generated.

    • High-speed full document retrieval method and system capable of providing result of retrieval within practically acceptable short search time. Upon registration of documents in a document database, condensed texts are created by decomposing each of textual character strings of the documents to be registered into fragmental character strings in dependence on character species and by checking mutual inclusion relations existing among the fragmental character strings. A component character table is created in which characters occurring in each of the condensed texts are registered without duplication. The condensed texts and the component character table are registered in the data base together with the texts of the documents to be registered. Upon retrieval of a document containing a search term designated by a user, a component character table search is first executed to extract those documents which contain all species of characters constituting the search term by consulting the component character table, and subsequently a condensed text search is executed by consulting the condensed texts of the documents. Finally, a text body search is executed for extracting a document which satisfies query condition imposed on the search term by consulting the texts of the documents extracted through the component character table search and the condensed text search.
