    • The present invention relates to a polarizer and a method for produce for producing the same, and an LCD device. The polarizer includes a glass substrate and a metal wire grating disposed on the glass substrate. The polarizer disposed on the LCD device can greatly lower cost of the polarizer and the LCD device. Besides, the polarizer does not absorb incident lights so as to greatly reduce energy loss of lights passing through the polarizer and improve the utilization rate of light energy. The method includes: disposing a cathode and an anode in parallel on one glass substrate; connecting the cathode and the anode to a direct current power supply; dropping solution containing metal positive ions between the cathode and the anode; disposing another glass substrate on the cathode and the anode; adjusting temperature of the solution until the solution is frozen to be ice; adjusting the temperature until a liquid layer appears between the one glass substrate and the ice; and supplying power for the cathode and the anode so as to obtain the polarizer, which can greatly simplify the producing process of the polarizer and lower the producing cost of the polarizer.

    • The present invention relates to an array substrate of an LCD with a wide viewing angle and a method for manufacturing the same. The array substrate includes: gate lines and data lines formed on a substrate, and TFTs and pixel electrodes formed in pixel areas defined by the gate lines and the data lines, wherein at least one shaft for inducing liquid crystal to form a multi-domain structure is formed on each of the pixel electrodes. The method includes: forming a pattern containing gate lines, gate electrodes, data lines, source electrodes, drain electrodes and TFT channels on a substrate; depositing a passivation layer, opening a first via hole for connecting each of the drain electrodes to each of pixel electrodes and a second via hole for forming a shaft; and depositing a transparent conductive film, forming a pattern containing the pixel electrodes within pixel areas, and forming a shaft at the second via hole for inducing liquid crystal to form a multi-domain structure. The present invention uses a shaft structure to induce liquid crystal to form a multi-domain structure, which not only realizes a symmetric wide viewing angle, but also simplifies the structure and manufacturing process of an array substrate.

    • A driving method for a liquid crystal display (LCD) panel is provided. The method comprises applying corresponding overdriving data for source data to the LCD panel at the beginning of a frame; applying black data to the LCD panel before the end of the frame, wherein the polarities of the applied black data are the same as the pixel electrode driving polarity at the beginning of a next frame; and applying the source data to the LCD panel at a time between the application of the overdriving data and the application of the black data. The driving method of the invention eliminates the need for large TFTs by reducing the voltage change between the end of a previous frame and the beginning of a current frame, and also can perform pre-charging for the pixel electrodes without adding any other device.
