    • A frontal hairpiece for providing a naturally-appearing augmented frontal hairline when applied to the wearer. A frontal foundation has a forward edge, a rearward edge, a first end and a second end. The frontal foundation is thin, flexible and made from a net-like construction which substantially blends with the skin color of the wearer. The forward edge traces a tortuous pathway from approximately the first end to approximately the second end. Embodiments may include an elastic band portion connected to the frontal foundation, with first and second rear strap portions disposed therebetween. Hair is attached to the frontal foundation in a first density pattern which mimics a natural transition of a wearer's forehead into a frontal hairline. The first density pattern of some embodiments may be characterized by a greater density of hair strands applied proximate the rearward edge of the frontal foundation compared to the density of hair strands applied proximate the forward edge.

    • The invention includes an irradiation nozzle which radiates a line scanning beam, an irradiation position sensor which detects an irradiation position of the line scanning beam, an arithmetic processing circuit unit which measures the stationary time of the line scanning beam at the irradiation position detected by the irradiation position sensor, and an irradiation control unit which performs scanning control of the line scanning beam by utilizing the irradiation position measured by the irradiation position sensor and the stationary time detected by the arithmetic processing circuit unit. According to this line scanning apparatus, scanning control of the line scanning beam is performed by utilizing the irradiation position of the beam and the stationary time corresponding to the irradiation position, so that irradiation of the beam to an erroneous position or excessive irradiation of the line scanning beam can be more reliably prevented, and thereby the reliability of the line scanning apparatus can be improved.

    • A taking part has a taking unit that comes in contact with the piled sheets to generate a taking force and to take the sheets one by one with the taking force. The sheets are pressed by the lever at a preparatory step, and then the sheets are lifted and pressed to the taking unit while canceling the driving force by the lever. The sheet and the taking unit are assured to become in good contact with each other to make the taking operation stable.
