    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contaminating protective cover which prevents a contaminater from being entered to opening end.
      SOLUTION: The contaminating protective cover is to disengagedly and engagedly latch a tubular part which is inserted into a bore of a housing through the opening end and is for a fluid quick connector which includes a retainer disposed within a quick connector housing. The contaminating protective cover makes it possible to attach to the housing and includes width which makes it possible to engage to seal on outer surface of the tubular part in order to engage to seal the tubular part at place of the opening end of the housing after the tubular part is inserted into the housing. The contaminating protective cover includes two main body portions which are formed of a inner layer of a soft durometer material and a second outer layer of a hard durometer material combined to the inner layer. The second outer layer attaches the inner layer, thus the entire contaminating protective cover to the fluid quick connector housing.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid quick connector having low insertion force and high pull out retention force. SOLUTION: This fluid quick connector has a housing and a sleeve movable between a first position and a second position within the housing upon engagement with an endform inserted into the housing. A retainer mounted on the housing has at least radially inward extending protrusion which extends through an aperture in the housing into engagement with the endform to latch the endform in the housing. The sleeve, when in the first position, blocks extension of the protrusion through the aperture in the housing to allow insertion of the endform in the housing.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quick connector short in the entire length with a small number of parts.
      SOLUTION: The fluid quick connector has coaxially joinable first and second cylindrical parts. A housing having an open end is supported by one cylindrical part, and this housing latchingly receives an adapter fixed to the other cylindrical part. The end of the adapter is energized into clamping engagement with the one cylindrical part when the adapter engages the housing. In another aspect, the adapter includes two joinable sections which are fixedly mountable about one end of the first cylindrical part. A hollow insertion part is fixed within the end of the first cylindrical part and engages the end of the second cylindrical part in the adapter to seal the second cylindrical part to the adapter.
