    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cap that exhibits high impact absorption property and is suitable for head protection while satisfying conditions such as lightness and air permeability required for an ordinary cap. SOLUTION: The cap is obtained by combining first-third belt-like face side fabrics 111, 121 and 131 with first-third belt-like lining fabrics 112, 122 and 132 and first-third belt-like divided bodies 113, 123 and 133 being belt-like divided bodies of three-dimensional knitted fabric and the first belt-like divided body 113 is covered and formed so as to be laid between components forming a pair, for example, the first belt-like face side fabric 111 and the first belt-like lining fabric 112. Since the three-dimensional knitted fabric is used as a cushioning material, the cap has excellent impact absorption properties. Since the three-dimensional knitted fabric is lightweight, a light cap is produced.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hat suitable for head protection, having high shock-absorbing property and producible at a low cost while satisfying the requirements for common hats comprising light weight, air permeability and washing easiness.
      SOLUTION: A three-dimensional knit fabric 10 is set between an upper mold 21 and a lower mold 22 and heated without applying pressure. The residual stress of a ground fabric and a connection yarn is released between the upper mold and the lower mold by application of heat to the three-dimensional knit fabric 10 and the fabric is deformed following the contour of the mold to a knit state before heat-setting. Accordingly, the thickness of the three-dimensional knit fabric constituting a hat 50 is equal to or thicker than that of the three-dimensional knit fabric before processing. Since the fabric is not hot-pressed, the hat has high compression recovery and high shock-absorbing property and is suitable for head protection.
