    • A wafer having a plurality of elements closely arranged thereon is irradiated with an ion beam while being conveyed in one direction by a conveying unit. Each of shutters adjusts an irradiation time during which a target area of the wafer is irradiated with the ion beam. Thus, a frequency in the target area is adjusted. Each of a plurality of mask holes in a pattern mask disposed between the wafer and the shutters corresponds to one area of the wafer. The mask holes are alternately displaced in a wafer conveying direction in which the wafer is conveyed, and are arranged in a plurality of columns perpendicular to the wafer conveying direction. To individually open and close the mask holes, the shutters are arranged to correspond to the respective mask holes. Thus, frequency adjustment, for areas in one column perpendicular to the wafer conveying direction, is performed in multiple steps.

    • A foldable floor heating panel can be folded longitudinally and laterally. The foldable floor heating panel includes several small plate-like members of a rectangular plan configuration, which are arranged longitudinally and laterally so as to be adjacent to each other. A flexible thin plate is attached to upper surfaces of the small plate-like members so as to allow longitudinal and lateral folding. Heat carrier flexible tube passages are provided in longitudinal and lateral folding portions of the panel so as to leave some play, and folding margin members are provided at the lateral folding portions. Fit-in members are attachably and detachably provided in respective heat carrier flexible tube passages with some play.

    • In an optical sensor, there is a risk that a short-circuit occurs in a gap between opposite electrodes on a photoconductive body. A pair of band-shaped electrodes each having a width of "W" are formed on the photoconductive body under the condition that these electrodes are positioned opposite to each other via the gap having an interval of "L". A band-shaped first notch portion having a length of "W/2" and a width of "L" is formed which is opened to the gap. Furthermore, a second notch portion is formed which is closed other than the portion thereof communicated to the first notch portion. Thus, first and second bridge portions are formed in one electrode where the first and second notch portions have been formed. When the opposite electrodes are shortcircuited, one of these bridge portions is cut out so that the tip portion of the cut electrode functions as another electrode.
