    • A biaxially oriented film formed from a intimate mixture comprising (I) an aromatic polyester, (II) 0.005 to 1.0% by weight, based on the aromatic polyester, of fine particles of a silicone resin having (a) a composition represented by the following formula (A)R.sub.x SiO.sub.2-x/2 (A)wherein R represents a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 7 carbon atoms, and x is a number of from 1 to 1.2, (b) a volume shape factor (f), represented by the following formula (B), of more than 0.4 but not exceeding .pi./6f=V/D.sup.3 (B)wherein V is the average volume (.mu.m.sup.3) of the particles and D is the average maximum particle diameter (.mu.m) of the particle, and (c) an average particle diameter of 0.3 to 4 .mu.m. The film optionally contains (III) 0.005 to 1% by weight, based on the aromatic polyester, of inert fine particles having an average particle diameter of 0.01 to 1 .mu.m but being smaller than the average particle diameter of the silicone resin particles. The film is useful for a base film on a magnetic recording medium.

    • An operating device of an opening-closing body is supported on both sides on a single rotating shaft and controls the turning torque of the rotating shaft. To realize the operating device, a rotating shaft having a flange portion on one side is rotatably mounted by inserting in a pair of bearing holes coaxially formed in a pair of bearing members which are erected as parallel walls at a predetermined spacing; the rotating shaft being provided with opening-closing body mounting portions on both ends which protrude out of the pair of bearing members; a friction washer is interposed between the flange portion and the bearing member and rotates together with the rotating shaft; a stationary cam member is secured on one of the bearing members, with the rotating shaft rotatably inserted through at the central part; a rotating-sliding cam member is disposed oppositely to the stationary cam member and capable of sliding in the axial direction of the rotating shaft while turning together with the rotating shaft; and furthermore a compression spring is inserted over the rotating shaft to press the rotating-sliding cam member towards the stationary cam member side to thereby press the friction washer between the flange portion and the bearing member. The compression spring can adjust a pressure to be applied to the rotating-sliding cam member and a pressure to be applied to the friction washer.

    • The degree of a structure change of the sugar chain of a glycoprotein caused by a disease can be measured with high precision rapidly by separating and measuring two or more forms of glycoproteins which are different in sugar chain structure but have substantially the same protein structure, by using a combination of a lectin capable of recognizing the specific sugar chain structure of at least one of these glycoprotein analytes to be measured, and a first antibody which has a property of binding to all the glycoprotein analytes but is kept from binding to glycoprotein analyte(s) having the lectin attached thereto; and separating and measuring glycoprotein analyte(s) having the first antibody attached thereto and glycoprotein analyte(s) having no first antibody attached thereto, by utilizing differences in properties between the former glycoprotein analyte(s) and the latter glycoprotein analyte(s).
