Aug. 14, 1942, No. 11391., [Classes 113 (ii), 114 and 115] A rubber dinghy a, Fig. 3, is provided on its gunwale with socket pockets b having inwardlydirected mouths to receive the ends of an extensible thwart which, when extended, presents registering holes into which a mast f, Fig. 6, is stepped. The thwart may comprise two stout telescopic boards c , c of waterproofed laminated wood, each with a metal strap d , d at its inner end in which the other board slides, the hole e in the upper board being larger than the hole e in the lower board. Alternatively, it may comprise two short boards s , s , Fig. 8, with interfitting tongues and grooves u, butt-jointed within a metal sleeve t of shallow rectangular cross-section, all with registering holes for the mast. Oblique strut-boards y may be arranged between the sleeve t and pockets v in the floor of the dinghy. A centre-board may be accommodated in a fabric pocket w stayed by stays x. The mast f may be squared at the bottom, tapering to a round cross-section at the top, and it may have a stout peg i to extend into the lower hole e . It may consist of telescopic tubes held in the extended condition by pairs of spring-pressed plungers g snapping into holes h, or it may consist of separate short lengths assembled together by bayonet joints. It may be steadied by a single fore-and-aft stay and a pair of lateral stays i , Fig. 2. A triangular sail m may be distended by a sectional spar p fitted into socket pockets r.

摘要： A crib toy having a shaped outer shell with a downward facing U-shaped aperture adapted to fit over a crib rail. The shell houses an automatic reversing mechanism which drives an output roller positioned in the aperture for moving the toy back and forth along the rail.In a preferred embodiment, the reversing mechanism includes a motor which rotates first and second cam surfaces at a first speed and first and second cam followers at a second speed causing the cam followers to drive first and second gears to operate the output roller. The preferred embodiment combines a music box with the reversing mechanism to provide a synthesis of music and movement for a child.

摘要： A toy trap door mechanism is disclosed which includes a trap door pivotably mounted within and flush to a panel which simulates the floor of a castle. A chair in the shape of a throne is rotatably mounted to the floor in the vicinity of the trap door. An actuating lever is pivotably mounted to the underside of the floor and is operatively coupled to both the chair and the trap door. When the chair is rotated from a first position facing an observer to a second position facing the trap door, the lever unlatches the trap door which swings open. Holding the trap door in the closed position and rotating the chair to the first position resets the mechanism.

摘要： A toy vehicle having an inertia motor and a wheel adapted to be driven thereby, the vehicle having a drive gear operatively connected to the inertia motor, the periphery of the gear extending partially below the surface of the vehicle. A housing in the form of a fire station or the like is provided with a simulated chimney, which has a rack on the surface thereof within the housing, the chimney being depressible to operate a pinion carrying an enlarged diameter drum, having one end of a strap secured thereto for winding around the drum. The housing is provided with a ramp surface adapted for supporting the vehicle, the ramp being provided with a rotatably mounted hollow shaft having a power gear for engaging the drive gear within the vehicle, the power gear having a coil spring wound about a rod on the axis thereof with the outer end of the hollow shaft being configured to provide a small diameter drum having the other end of the strap means secured thereto. Restraining means are provided for engaging the vehicle so that upon depression of the rack the power gear is maintained in engagement with the drive gear, the power gear ceasing rotation when the rack is depressed to its extreme position whereby the inertia motor is energized and the vehicle leaves the housing.
