    • A bite-in type pipe connection structure is provided, the pipe connection structure being capable of, even if piping connection work is performed with a length of piping inserted insufficiently, minimizing deterioration of air-tightness at the joint portion, at which the piping is connected, due to an offset load acting on the piping. Also provided are a valve, a bite-in type pipe joint, and a refrigeration device using the bite-in type pipe connection structure. A ferrule is provided with: a low-strength portion which, when a coupling member becomes fastened to a joint body by manually rotating the coupling member, allows the distal end portion of the ferrule to deform so that the distal end portion restrains a length of piping which is to be connected; a level changing portion which connects a front tapered surface, which corresponds to the low-strength portion, and a rear tapered surface; and a rearward portion which is adjacent to the low-strength section. The level changing portion is formed so that the wall thickness of the rearward portion has a value which can airtightly retain the piping to be connected.

    • A heat exchanger includes a plurality of flat tubes and at least one wavily folded fin disposed between a pair of the flat tubes. The fin includes a heat transfer portion having a folded portion joined to a planar portion of each of the pair of flat tubes, and a cut-and-raised portion. The cut-and-raised portion is formed by raising a periphery of a cutting line segment when a material of the fin is wavily folded. The cutting line segment is set in a vicinity of a hypothetical center line of the folded portion before the material of the fin is wavily folded. The cutting line segment is formed by a combination of cutting line segments intersecting with the hypothetical center line, or a combination of a cutting line segment intersecting with the hypothetical center line and a cutting line segment displaced with respect to the hypothetical center line.

    • A pipe joint includes a joint body and a fastening member. The fastening member includes a screw part screwed to the joint body to connect a pipe to the joint body, and a holding part configured to be nonrotatably held by a fastening tool. The screw part and the holding part are coupled to each other by a connecting structure before screwing the fastening member to the joint body. When screwing the fastening member to the joint body, the connecting structure between the holding part and the screw part is configured and arranged such that the holding part and the screw part rotate together until rotational torque applied to the holding part reaches a predetermined value larger than a rotational torque needed to completely connect the pipe to the pipe joint.
