    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tranilast-containing preparation as a gel-like suspension preparation or micronized suspension useful as a scarring inhibitor or vitreous body visualizer after operation and having effects equivalent to or higher than the case with conventional continuous oral administration. SOLUTION: The gel-like suspension preparation contains tranilast or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof 1-4 μm in the center of particle size distribution and 5 μm or smaller in 90% median diameter and at least one of sodium hyaluronate and sodium chondroitin sulfate. This gel-like suspension preparation as an embrocation is useful as a scarring inhibitor after operation. The micronized suspension is obtained by mixing tranilast or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof and at least one of sodium hyaluronate and sodium chondroitin sulfate into a physiological saline solution followed by micronization, wherein the tranilast is 1-4 μm in the center of particle size distribution and 5 μm or smaller in 90% median diameter.
