    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ligand for bonding bacteriotoxin and a new system that acts on or prevents the septic shock having the fear caused by bacteriotoxin. SOLUTION: This is a ligand relating to the bacteriotoxin, particularly enterotoxin or exotoxin of the gram-positive bacteria and can selectively interact to the structure bearing the amino acid sequence preserved in the bacteriotoxin. This invention additionally provides an adsorbent showing the ligand bonded to the matrix, an adsorption apparatus for reducing the concentration of bacteriotoxin in blood or plasma and a pharmaceutical composition that includes the ligand and is particularly suitable for treatment and/or prophylaxis of gram- positive septic shock.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive centrifuge which can easily be manufactured in particular and whose pipeline is exposed to a relatively less mechanical load so that the number of its revolution can be enhanced. SOLUTION: The centrifuge which has a rotation frame 1 installed on a stand 2 that can be revolved and a separation unit 4 that can revolve around a central rotation axis A with twice the revolution of the rotation frame toward the same revolving direction, where the pipeline 6 that supplies or discharges a liquid is connected with the separation unit 4 and led to a static connection site 5 in a loop state around the separation unit. At least one guide element 7, 8 is provided to support the pipeline and has a support surface 10 for the pipeline. The support surface of the guide element is composed of a rotation plane curved line, while a radius R2 of each curvilinear circle contacting with the curved line at one point increases when a distance between a point of contact and the central rotation axis A is increased.
