Cork-extractors. - A device, for extracting corks &c. from bottles &c. comprises a handle member 1 and blades 6, 9 each of which is adapted to be inserted between the external surface of a cork and the adjacent internal surface of a bottle neck, the blade 9 being adjustable to and from the blade 6 to suit corks of different diameters. As shown, the handle member 1 is of tubular form slotted at 2, 3 to form wing-members 4, 5, the blade 6 being pivoted at 7 to the members 4. The, blade 9 is secured to the boss 10 of a cap 8, the boss sliding in the slots 2, 3. The blades may be positioned and retained in an inoperative position within the handle by withdrawing the, blade 9 with its cap 8, turning up the blade 6 within the handle, and inserting the blade 9 and boss 10 through theopen end of the handle, around which the cap 8 fits. The other end of the handle is closed by a cap 11. In a modification, the handle is of solid form with a slot in which one blade is pivoted and a squared boss carrying the other blade slides, the boss being adapted to be inserted in a hole in one end of the handle to hold the blades in inoperative position.

摘要： A vertebral body aspirator comprises an inner member including a cannula disposed therethrough, the inner member having an opening at a distal end thereof and a rotatable knob at a proximal end thereof, an outer member having a cannula disposed therethrough, the cannula of the outer member being configured and dimensioned for receiving the inner member. The outer member has an aperture located at a distal end thereof. The knob is configured to rotate inner member with respect to the outer member and expose the opening of the inner member. The outer member may include an extended tip located at the distal end thereof. A cartridge may be disposed within the inner member. The cartridge can be disposable and can have a straight-tip or bent-tip at its distal end. The vertebral body aspirator may also include a syringe connected to the proximal end of the cartridge.

A selection system can include a query unit, a scoring unit and a recommendation unit. The query unit can present two or more prompts related to disability insurance, each prompt being associated with two or more response choices. A client can select a response choice for each prompt, and the query unit can receive the selected response choices. The scoring unit can associate point values with each of the selected response choices and can calculate a response score by combining the point values. The recommendation unit can select a disability insurance package corresponding the response score resulting from the user's responses to the prompts. Other embodiments of selection systems are also disclosed herein.
