    • An electrical parking brake system and method for a commercial vehicle includes a valve device, which connects a compressed-air supply with a spring brake cylinder without an intermediate connection of a hand brake valve. The valve device aerates the spring brake cylinder in a first switching state and deaerates the spring brake cylinder in a second switching state. The system further includes a pressure sensor, which measures a pressure on the compressed air supply side, and an electronic control unit for directly or indirectly controlling the valve device, acquiring a signal supplied by the pressure sensor, and acquiring an indicator signal for the presence of an individual in a cab of the vehicle. The valve device can only be transferred to its first switching state by the control unit if the pressure on the compressed air supply side exceeds a pressure threshold value and if the presence of an individual in a cab of the vehicle is indicated.

    • A compressed air-supply device for a utility vehicle includes a valve housing and an exchangeable air-drying cartridge. The air-drying cartridge has a filter device which cleans the air flowing from the valve housing into the air-drying cartridge. The filter device separates the pre-filter area facing the valve housing from the post-filter area that faces the air-drying cartridge and in which foreign particles captured by the filter device are collected. A non-return valve is provided parallel to the filter device, which prevents air flowing from the pre-filter area to the post-filter area but allows the air flow from the post-filter area to the pre-filter area. The non-return valve is arranged in the valve housing.

    • A compressed air supply device for a commercial vehicle is provided. The compressed air supply device includes a valve housing and an essentially axially symmetrical, exchangeable air-drying cartridge which is connected to the valve housing. The valve housing and the air-drying cartridge are connected via an essentially circular seal which lies in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the air-drying cartridge. The valve housing and the air-drying cartridge can be coupled to each other by being brought together in an axially parallel manner. The valve housing and the air-drying cartridge have features which permit a leak-proof connection between the valve housing and the air-drying cartridge at one or more angular positions of the air-drying cartridge relative to the valve housing.

    • A method is provided for controlling and/or regulating the air pressure in a compressed air supply device for a utility vehicle. At least one pressure value in the compressed air supply device and/or in vehicle components connected to the compressed air supply device is recorded. A humidity value representing the humidity content in an air filter unit associated with the compressed air supply device is determined. A clutch connecting a drive to a compressor is opened. A discharge valve of the compressed air supply device is opened when the pressure value is above a predetermined minimum value and the humidity value exceeds a predetermined threshold value. The clutch is opened and the discharge valve remains closed when it is indicated that the clutch can be engaged, the pressure value reaches a predetermined cutting-off pressure, and the humidity value is below the predetermined threshold value.
