    • A compressor system for a vehicle includes a compressor driven by a drive motor of the vehicle and a suction air conduit for supplying air that has already been precompressed by a turbocharger of the drive motor to the compressor. A mechanism is disposed in the suction air guide for reducing the flow cross-section. The mechanism is able to limit the charging pressure of the already precompressed air supplied to the compressor. A method for controlling a compressor system having a turbocharged compressor limits a charging pressure of the already precompressed air to an adjustable maximum value.

    • A fresh gas supply device for an internal combustion engine having an exhaust gas turbocharger includes a charge air inlet for taking in a compressed charge air flow from the exhaust gas turbocharger; an outlet which is connected to the charge air inlet via a valve section, said valve section being closed in a closed position by at least one flap valve which can be pivoted, preferably, about a flap rotational axis; an adjusting device which is coupled to the at least one flap valve for adjusting the same in the closing direction; and a compressed air inlet for taking in compressed air into the outlet. The compressed air inlet is arranged such that the compressed air is directed into a compressed air flow in the direction of the valve section to the at least one flap valve. A corresponding method for operating the fresh gas supply device is provided.

    • A method for drive stability enhancement of multi-unit vehicle combinations which is based on an autonomous unilateral operation and pressure coordination (during braking) of the towing vehicle unit's brake system, producing a stabilizing yaw torque on the towing vehicle unit, whose calculation is based on an adaptive reference model of the vehicle combination, running in real-time on the vehicle's onboard computer and gathering information only from the towing vehicle unit, such as pneumatic pressures at the brake cylinders, pressure differences in the rear axle air bags, steering angle, yaw rate and lateral acceleration and the wheel speeds on the towing vehicle. The method detects a torque requirement on the internal combustion engine; determines a current charge air pressure and a current pressure of the vehicle air system; compares the current charge air pressure to a target charge air pressure corresponding to the torque requirement and compares the determined current pressure of the vehicle air system to a target operating pressure of the vehicle air system, and regulates the charge air pressure by suppressing a supply of compressed air, supplied by the exhaust gas supercharger, to the compressor when the determined current charge air pressure is less than the corresponding target charge air pressure and the current pressure of the vehicle air system is greater than or equal to the target operating pressure of the vehicle air system.
