      SOLUTION: A vibration control device 6 used in a vibration control structure 1 of a wooden building includes a vibration control mechanism 7a mounted on a column 3a, a vibration control mechanism 7b mounted on a column 3b, and a joint member 8 extending between the vibration control mechanisms 7a and 7b. The vibration control mechanism 7a comprises a column-side fitting member 11a fitted to a side face of the column 3a, a joint-member-side fitting member 12a, and a vibration control member 13a connecting the column-side fitting member 11a and the joint-member-side fitting member 12a to each other. The vibration control member is sandwiched between the column-side fitting member 11a and the joint-member-side fitting member 12a in the state that faces of the vibration control member are respectively bonded to the column-side fitting member 11a and the joint-member-side fitting member 12a, and is formed of a viscoelastic body so that the joint-member-side fitting member 12a and the column-side fitting member 11a can be relatively rotatable around a horizontal axis. Vibration energy of the building 5 is absorbed by torsional deformation caused by the relative rotation.

      SOLUTION: A vibration-control panel 10 has a vibration-control damper unit 40 for damping vibrations in the X direction of a building. The vibration-control damper unit 40 has a lower transmission member 22 fixed to the lower beam 56 for a structure, an upper transmission member 20 fixed to the upper beam 58 for the structure and a hydraulic damper 24 operably mounted in the horizontal direction between the lower transmission member 22 and the upper transmission member 20. The vibration-control damper unit 40 further has a lower fixture 36 fixed at the front lower end of the lower transmission member 22 and an upper fixture 38 fixed at the front upper end of the upper transmission member 20. Since recessed sections 12a and 14a for inserting the upper transmission member 20 and the lower transmission member 22 are formed to an upper frame 12 and a lower frame 14, the upper frame 12 and the lower frame 14 can connect the upper fixture 38 and the lower fixture 36 fixed to the upper transmission member 20 and the lower transmission member 22 directly to the upper beam 58 and the lower beam 56.

      SOLUTION: This vibration damping device 10 is installed in a ceiling space 34 formed between an upper beam 18 and a ceiling plate 32, and comprises connection fittings 22 formed integrally with brackets 30, hydraulic dampers 36, and damper support members 38 fastened to the lower surface of the upper beam 18. The connection fittings 22 comprise vertical fastening parts 24 fastened to side faces of columns 14 and 16, horizontal fastening parts 26 fastened to the lower surface of the upper beam 18, triangular fastening parts 28 fastening the vertical fastening parts 24 to the horizontal fastening parts 26, and brackets 30 erected from the vertical fastening parts 24. Since the brackets 30 supporting the hydraulic dampers 36 are formed integrally with the connection fittings 22, labor for mounting operation can be reduced by reducing the quantity of the fittings. Also, since mounting positions of the hydraulic dampers 36 is not necessary be set at positions apart from the connection fittings 22, the hydraulic dampers 36 can be installed at positions near the upper beam 18.

      SOLUTION: In a building 10, the damping device 13 for operating so as to damp vibration in the X direction, is arranged in the opening part 12 of a parking garage. This vibration damping device 13 is composed of a rotary door 14 for opening or closing the opening part 12, and a damping unit 18 (indicated by a broken line in the Fig. 1) arranged in an inside space of the rotary door 14. The damping device 13 operates so as to damp swinging in the X direction of the building 10 by being firmly joined to the building 10 when the rotary door 14 is put in a state of closing the opening part 12. Thus, when the vibration in the X direction is inputted to the building 10, since the damping unit 18 incorporated into the rotary door 14 performs damping operation, the vibration proof of the building 10 is improved. Thus, the vibration proof of the building 10 having the opening part 12 in a first floor part, can be improved.
