Class 132(3) A toy building brick has on three of its sides, grooves A, B, C of which the crosssectional shape is complementary to lugs L provided on the other side 13 of the brick. Each lug is spaced from the adjacent end of the brick by a distance equal to “ the length of the brick, and the grooves are also complementary to corner portions D, E of the brick, Fig. 7 shows how a number of the bricks may be used to build a roof R and a wall W which are secured by the engagement of a corner D with a groove C. A modified brick, Fig. 4, has a face 10a of one of its sides sloped towards the lugs L at an angle of 15 degrees, the groove A' being correspondingly tilted. Fig. 8a shows how such a brick G engages with a normal brick F. Holes 20 in each end face of the bricks receive dowels for securing the bricks end to end. To prevent pivoting of one brick about the lug of another, the lugs may be pyramid-shaped.

摘要： Methods for determining properties of a media on an exterior of a casing in downhole systems are described. The methods include conveying a logging tool through a casing in a downhole formation, stimulating shear waves and flexural waves in the casing, obtaining a shear attenuation rate measurement and a flexural attenuation rate measurement within the casing responsive to the media on the exterior of the casing, comparing the measured shear attenuation rate and the measured flexural attenuation rate against a plurality of respective division boundary values, and determining one or more properties of the media on the exterior of the casing based on the comparison of the measured shear attenuation rate and the measured flexural attenuation rate against the plurality of respective interfaces.

摘要： A method useful for evaluating the presence and/or the quality of the cement bond of a downhole tubular. The method involves measuring radial resonance modes of the tubular, and comparing those measured values to the unbound tubular resonant values of a calibration ring. For a well bonded tubular, the measured radial resonance should be greater than that of the unbound tubular calibration ring. In regions where a fluid, such as water surrounds the outside of the tubular, or the cement is otherwise not bonded to the outer surface of the tubular, the measured response should be less than the calibrated response. The calibration ring should have the same diameter, wall thickness, and be made of the same material as the tubular.

摘要： The logging tool of this invention includes a transmitter conveyed on a drilling collar for exciting a quadrupole signal in a borehole being drilled by a drill bit and a receiver for receiving the signal. The transmitter is operated at a frequency below the cut-off frequency of the quadrupole collar mode. The received signal consists primarily of the formation quadrupole mode which, at low frequencies, has a velocity that approaches the formation shear velocity. The transmitter, in one embodiment, consists of eight equal sectors of a piezoelectric cylinder mounted on the rim of the drilling collar. The value of the cut-off frequency is primarily dependent on the thickness of the drilling collar. Alternatively, the transmitter may be operated to produce both the collar mode and the formation mode and a processor may be used to filter out the collar mode.
