    • A method of preparing a nano-structured hydroxyapatite [Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2, HA] coating layer with improved biocompatibility is provided. The preparation method includes: (S1) putting hydroxyapatite [Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2, HA] powder in a powder chamber, placing a metal substrate in a deposition chamber, and keeping the chamber in vacuum state by using a vacuum pump; (S2) injecting carrier gas into the powder chamber and mixing with hydroxyapatite powder; (S3) spraying the mixture of the powder and the carrier gas onto the surface of metal substrate in the deposition chamber through a nozzle and depositing hydroxyapatite coating layer on the metal substrate; (S4) hydrothermal-treating the deposited hydroxyapatite coating layer; and (S5) rinsing the hydrothermal-treated hydroxyapatite coating layer and drying the layer. Additionally, a thermal-treated, nano-structured hydroxyapatite [Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2, HA] coating layer with improved biocompatibility fabricated by the above preparation method is provided.

    • Disclosed are composition and a method for making a high volume reinforced Al composite by use of a dipping process. Through the method comprising mixing 20-50 wt % of exothermic reaction-causing Ti and C or Ti and B powders, 20-60 wt % of exothermic reaction-controlling diluent powders, and 5-30 wt % of infiltration-aiding Al or Al alloy powders, then preparing mixture powders; preforming the mixture powders into a predetermined shape; fitting the preformed body in a reaction container, followed by dipping in an Al melt of 700-1,100° C.; and separating the synthesized composite from the reaction container after removal from the Al melt, a high volume reinforced Al composite can be prepared from the mixture powders through such exothermic synthesis in a metal melt that reinforced particles are uniformly distributed while restraining the generation of pores. As such, the exothermic reaction-controlling diluent powders are selected from the group consisting of TiC, TiB2, SiC, WC or mixtures thereof.

    • A channel selecting method for a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) using remote scanning and a WLAN system thereof is disclosed in which a wireless environment is comprehensively discriminated to select an optimum channel by information. The information is obtained from stations of each node (STA) in a wireless network and is not local information near the Access Point. Channel selection is configured to be automatically implemented during an initial configuration of the WLAN and during operation. The method includes the AP requesting remote scanning for each node (STA) comprising the WLAN. Each node transmits a remote scanning result to the AP. An optimum channel is discriminated and a determination is made as to whether transfer has been made to the channel based on the information received from each node. The AP, transferring to the optimum channel, thus discriminated to form a new WLAN if channel transfer is implemented according to the discrimination.

    • A wireless LAN device and a method of monitoring the status of a wireless LAN are disclosed. The wireless LAN device according to the present invention can determine the status of a wireless LAN using a variety of information obtained by performing media access control (MAC) without additional packet transmission/reception with a correspondent wireless LAN device. Accordingly, if the wireless LAN device of the present invention is various kinds of wireless A/V (Audio/Video) devices that provide the A/V streaming, the data transmission can be optimally made in accordance with the status of the monitored wireless LAN. Further, since there is no additional communication needed to monitor the status of a wireless LAN, the present invention has advantages in that the processing speed of the wireless LAN device is improved and the traffic of the wireless LAN is not increased.
