    • A casing brush tool for cleaning interior walls of a well bore casing. The brush tool has a free rotating sleeve mounted on a mandrel with bearings mounted between the sleeve and the mandrel to facilitate rotation. The sleeve carries a plurality of non-axial rows of bristles that are arranged to wind in a spiral, or helical fashion from one end of the sleeve to the other end. When moved in and out of the casing, the spiral rows of bristles cause rotation of the sleeve and by contacting the walls of the casing, clean the casing of the extraneous matter. A casing brush assembly may incorporate one or more of the brush tools. If more than one brush tool is used, it is preferred to use the sleeves having opposite direction of bristle rows such that the sleeves rotate in opposite directions when lowered into the well bore or retrieved from the casing.

    • An anchor assembly for a downhole tool has upper and lower frictional engagement member for engaging with an inner wall of the casing. The upper frictional members are spring-tensioned, while the lower frictional engagement members slide, to certain degrees, in relation to a longitudinal axis of the anchor assembly. At the same time conical engagement between the lower frictional members and the supporting surface causes the lower frictional members to extend outwardly and engage the inner surface of the casing. As a result, the working tool, for instance a sand cutter secured to the anchor assembly is stabilized in the casing, and an even cut may be performed.

    • A cleanout system and method for removal of metal debris from a fluid flow, such a flow of re-circulated drilling mud employs one or more magnetic unit positioned in the path of the fluid for collecting metal particles from the flow. The magnetic unit has a removable magnet core positioned in a non-magnetic sleeve. When the core is removed from the sleeve the attracted metal particles are allowed to drop from the sleeve under gravity to facilitate their collection and disposal. A fluid deflector is positioned upstream from each magnetic unit, protecting the magnetic unit from direct impact by the strong flow. The magnetic units are allowed to pivot from side-to-side and adjust their position in the flow.

    • This invention relates to a tool for recovering a downhole equipment stuck in the formation. The tool provides for the use of a power source mounted a distance above the equipment to be recovered. An elongated shaft is rotationally connected to the power source, the shaft having unbalanced weight which is distributed over at least a part of its length. When the power source transmits torque to the shaft, the shaft begins to vibrate, transmitting the vibration to the downhole equipment which causes loosening of the soil surrounding the equipment and facilitates recovery of the equipment.
