摘要： A protective smart-case for the interactive display of images, video, and audio via a capacitive touchscreen, on-board high capacity neodymium speaker, and laser pointer within the case itself is presented. Said case mounted touchscreen serves to actively display images and video stored in case memory, external memory, through USB and/or receive images from said smartphone or other external operating system (OS). Said images may be static or cycle through as a screen saver. Further the present invention would alleviate the need to purchase multiple smartphone cases “skins”, with printed pictures on the outer portion as the smart-case would be able to display any image or video and thus change any image as often as the user would desire. By utilizing the current protective smart-case the need for acquiring separate smartphone cases, peripheral laser pointer devices, and software programmable applications to extend the functionality of modern smartphone limitations may be avoided.

摘要： The clamp includes a passage adjacent to a pivot connection and into which a corresponding pivot pin is at least partially displaced from its original position into a position in which the circumcision clamp becomes inoperative. In one embodiment, the passage is located at one end of the latching member having a notch that is adjacent to a spur so that, when the clamp is moved to a closed position, the spur slips into the notch. The spur and notch resist movement of the latching member thereby causing the pivot pin to be forcibly displaced from its original position into an inoperative position. Select elements of the clamp may be formed of transparent plastic material for allowing a circumcision operator to monitor the glans penis therebeneath so that same is not damaged during a circumcision. Alternately, the clamp may be formed of aluminum and stainless steel. In such an embodiment, the passage is located at one end of the handle. As the handle moves to an open position from a closed position, the corresponding pivot pin at the end of the handle is forcibly displaced at least partially into the passage and thereby rendering the clamp inoperative. Such an embodiment of the clamp may be sent back to the manufacturer to be refurbished and resterilized for reuse.

In particular, the method for achieving high-availability is executed in a networked computer system. The networked computer system includes nodes connected by a network. The method includes using high-availability-aware components to represent hardware and software in the networked computer system, managing the components to achieve a desired level of redundancy, and monitoring health of the networked computer system, including health of components and nodes. The method further includes detecting a failure in the networked computer system. Failures detected by the method include failures of a component and/or node. Finally, the method includes recovering from the failure by performing an appropriate failure recovery procedure.
