    • A press-clamping portion 13 includes a pair of braid press-fastening portions 17 which extend in an upstanding manner respectively from opposite side edges of a terminal bottom plate portion 11, and can be press-connected to a braid 15 of a coaxial cable 3 by press-fastening, and a connecting piece portion 25 which can be inserted at its distal end portion between an inner insulating layer 23 of the coaxial cable 3 and the braid 15 from the end side of the coaxial cable 3 so that the braid 15 can be held between the connecting piece portion 25 and distal end portions of the braid press-fastening portions 17. Grooves 29 of a triangular cross-section are formed in an inner surface of the press-clamping portion 13, and extend in respective directions intersecting a direction of insertion of the coaxial cable 3. Each of the grooves 29 is formed such that that corner of the triangle, defining a bottom of the groove 29, is located upstream of a center of an opening of the groove 29 in the direction of insertion of the coaxial cable 3.

    • A terminal support has a first main body. Wall plates are arrayed on the first main body in a first direction so as to define a first space between each of adjacent ones of the wall plates. The first space is adapted to receive a terminal having a blade portion and a sheathed electric wire. The blade portion extends in the first direction, and no clearance is formed between both ends in the first direction of the terminal and the adjacent ones of the wall plates. Chamfered portions are formed on both sides in the first direction of a tip end of each of the wall plates. A punch has a second main body. Press members are arrayed on the second main body in the first direction so as to define a second space between each of adjacent one of the press members. Each of the press members is inserted into the first space to press the sheathed electric wire against the blade portion of the terminal while each of the wall plates is inserted into the second space, when the terminal support and the punch are approached in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction.

    • A connector 2 includes a connector housing 3, terminal metal fittings and a packing 1. The connector housing 3 which accommodates the terminal metal fittings is coupled with a complementary connector housing. The packing 1 keeps watertight the boundary between the connector housing 3 which is an article and supplementary connector housing 6 which is another article. The packing 1 includes a ring-shaped packing body 13, outer and inner protruding pieces 14 and 15; which protrude from the outer and inner edges of the packing body 13, respectively, holes 16 and securing pieces 17. The thickness of the packing body 13 is larger than the width thereof. Protruding pins 11 of the connector housing 3 are inserted in the holes 16, respectively. The securing pieces 17 are secured in receiving holes of the connector housing 3.
