    • A method for making multilayer ceramic/glass substrates with electromagnetic shielding. The method comprises the steps of: (a) preparing a homogeneous inorganic slurry composition by blending and milling a mixture containing ceramic or glass powders, or mixture thereof, an aqueous or organic solvent, a polymeric binder resin, a plasticizer, and other appropriate additives; (b) preparing a plurality of precursory ceramic/glass matrixes from the slurry using a tape casting, extrusion, coating, or pressing technique; (c) cutting the precursory ceramic/glass matrixes into a desired shape and size; (d) applying a conductive metal coating layer on at least one precursory ceramic/glass matrix to form a metal-coated precursory ceramic/glass matrix; (e) stacking an uncoated said precursory ceramic/glass matrix on top of at least one metal-coated precursory matrix to form a stacked multilayer precursory substrate; (f) laminating and sintering the stacked multilayer precursory substrate to form a sintered and densified ceramic/glass substrate. Finally the ceramic/glass substrate is trimmed and polished the desired size, shape, flatness and roughness. In a preferred embodiment, the substrate contains two metal coating layers embedded in a three-matrix structure, each of the metal coating layer has a checker-board coated/uncoated pattern allowing the ceramic/glass matrixes in adjacent layers to grow into and connect each other while providing complete areal coverage to adequately protect the substrate from electromagnetic interference.

    • A bicycle having dual-purpose pedals is provided, wherein the structure of a main shaft tube of the bicycle is improved. The structure has a main shaft, a first spring, a gear bushing, a crank, a second spring, a washer and a fixing unit. The main shaft is received in the main shaft tube. The first spring is telescoped onto the main shaft. The washer, the second spring, and the gear bushing are received in order in a crank hole of the crank. The washer is fixed at the distal end of the main shaft by a screw. The fixing unit passes through and is fixed on the main shaft tube. The bicycle can be used as a conventional bicycle having a one-up-one-down, 360-degree, circular rotation pedaling function. The user can also change and control the two pedals to accomplish a same-up-same-down pedaling function for enhancing entertainment during use.

    • The present invention provides an efficient preview method for seeking certain media content of the media source, such as a DVD, a VCD or a media file. With the present invention, the user could no longer seek the desired playing time blindly. Before the playing of the media source is switched to present the selected point, the user is able to preview the media content without interrupting the playing of a main window by the way of PIP, separated preview window or a dialog bubble. The steps of the method comprise: receiving a first data stream from a media source; decoding and rendering the first data stream to present the content thereof; receiving a second data stream from the media source when a seeking instruction is input, wherein the second data stream is acquired according to the seeking instruction; and decoding and rendering the second data stream to present the content thereof together with the content of the first data stream concurrently. Preferably, the content of the second data stream is presented in a preview window or a dialog bubble.
