    • A tubular connector housing is adapted to receive a terminal fitting coupled with an electric wire. An inner holder is accommodated in the connector housing so as to place the terminal fitting therein. The inner holder is slidable between a first position which allows the terminal fitting to be withdrawn from the connector housing and a second position which prevents the terminal fitting from being withdrawn from the connector housing. A through hole is formed in a side wall of the connector housing such that a part of an outer side face of the inner holder is actuated therethrough, in order to displace the inner holder between the first position and the second position.

    • A terminal anchoring lance 20 includes a first anchoring portion 21 and a second anchoring potion 22 which are arranged apart from each other in a direction of inserting a female terminal 30. The female terminal 30 includes a first engagement portion 33 corresponding to the first anchoring portion and a second engagement portion 36 corresponding to the second anchoring portion. The second anchoring portion is arranged at the base 20b of the terminal anchoring lance or on the wall of a connector housing 11 on the extending line of the terminal anchoring lance. The first anchoring portion is formed as a tip of the terminal anchoring lance, and the second anchoring portion is formed as a projection. The second engagement portion is formed as a projection at the rear end of a female electrical contact portion 31 of the terminal, and the first engagement portion is formed as a projection at the front end of the electrical contact. A pair of the second anchoring portions are formed on both sides 20c of the terminal anchoring lance. In this configuration, the size and weight of a connector and the production cost of the connector are reduced. The number of components is also reduced without lowering the holding force of a female connector.

    • A connector terminal which includes a terminal base portion; and a tab extending from the terminal base portion to be inserted into an opponent terminal.     • In the half fit preventive connector of the invention, of two housings respectively forming a set of male and female connectors to be fitted with each other, a spring member is mounded on one housing due to the repulsion force generated by the spring member, the male and female connectors can be prevented from being imperfectly fitted with each other. The spring member includes a support arm rotatable in the connector fitting direction and a resilient piece supported inwardly on the free end portion of the support arm. Also, a spring contact projection is formed on the front end portion of the side surface of the other housing. The spring contact projection includes in the rear portion thereof an escape space through which the resilient piece can return back its free state when the male and female connectors are perfectly fitted with each other.

    • A reliable method of incorporating a crimp-style connector onto a printed circuit board. Even when a relatively long wire having a large diameter is used, the connector housing can be easily attached to the board and there is no possibility that the board will be warped. The method of incorporating a crimp-style connector (20) onto a board (10) by which a connector housing (21) provided with an electrical wire is incorporated onto the board (10), includes the following steps: attaching the connector housing (21) to the board (10); crimp-connecting the electrical wire with a crimp-blade (33) of a crimp-terminal (30) accommodated in a terminal accommodating chamber (22) in the connector housing (21); and soldering a fixing portion of the crimp terminal (30), which protrudes onto a reverse side 10b of the board (10), to a contact point on the board (10). Due to the foregoing, it is possible to accurately and positively crimp-connect an electrical wire between a pair of crimp-blades (33), (33) of the crimp terminal (30). Therefore, connection of the electrical wire can be simplified and quality can be enhanced.
