    • Water-miscible metalworking fluid capable of reducing inhalation of aerosol toxin is provided to produce polyester polyol with a limit test value of LC50 defined according to E-1302-00 of an ASTM(American Society for Testing and Materials) standard over 5mg/L or equivalent weight over 1,600Da. In a water-miscible metalworking fluid manufacturing method, 5~90wt.% of water(based on fluid weight) and at least one additive selected from a plasticizer, a complexing agent, biocide, a surfactant, a dispersing agent, dyes, an aromatic, an extreme pressure agent, an antioxidant, and a corrosion inhibitor are mixed with 10~95wt.% of polyester polyol. A polyester polyol making method comprises the steps of: mixing active hydrogen compounds and a DMC(Double Metal Cyanide) catalyst in a reaction vessel; activating the catalyst by pouring the mixture containing at least two kinds of alkylene oxide into the reaction vessel; and continuously supplying at least one kind of alkylene oxide. A cloud point of an aqueous solution containing 1% of polyester polyol is 32~53°C. Number-average equivalent weight of the polyester polyol is 1,600~10,000Da. The inhalation amount of polyester polyol aerosol for four hours exceeds 5mg/L.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method carried out so as to achieve at most 0.5 mass% residual concentration of phosgene in a hydrogen chloride stream when an isocyanate is produced and a stream containing hydrogen chloride, phosgene and optionally a solvent, a low-boiling compound and an inert substance from phosgenation of an amine is purified. SOLUTION: The method for producing the isocyanate is provided. The method comprises (a) a step of reacting the amine with phosgene in the presence or absence of the solvent and affording a stream containing the corresponding isocyanate, hydrogen chloride, phosgene and optionally the solvent, low-boiling compound and inert substance, (b) a step of separating the stream in a step having an absorption step of at least two-stage sequences of at least one isothermal absorption step and at least one adiabatic absorption step and providing (i) the hydrogen chloride stream containing ≤0.5 mass% of phosgene based on the total mass of the hydrogen chloride stream and (ii) a liquid phosgene stream and (c) a step of recirculating the liquid phosgene stream (ii) through the step (a).
