    • The invention presents an apparatus for producing ice from the water of a reservoir using the cold air of the winter season and storing the ice for a long duration of time extending into the summer season. The cold water and cold air obtained during thawing may be used for raising and storing crops. The apparatus can include a compressor (160) for compressing sub-zero cold air; a support panel (110, 120) installed on the floor and slopes of the reservoir; a transport tube (170), which is installed through the floor support panel (110) and connected with the compressor (160), for transporting the compressed cold air; a nozzle connected with the transport tube (170) for spraying the sub-zero compressed cold air into the water to produce ice; a water collector (180) for collecting the cold water and cold air created during thawing; and a discharge unit (182, 184) for discharging the cold water and cold air collected in the water collector (180).

    • The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for producing and storing ice on the sea using the sub-zero cold air of the winter season, to achieve an earlier freezing period, and increasing the area and thickness of the ice layer, to suppress the melting of ice sheets and glaciers and suppress and overcome global warming as well as its side effects. The apparatus for producing and storing ice in a sea includes: a storage tank (10), a compressor (20), which compresses cold air and inject the cold air into tank (10); a first pump, which propels water which is supercooled by the cold air; a first nozzle (42), which sprays the supercooled water propelled by the first pump; and a screen, on an inside of the first nozzle (42), for converting the supercooled water into a mist. The apparatus can additionally include a second nozzle, which sprays cold air towards the supercooled water which is sprayed through the first nozzle (42). Ice is produced by misting the supercooled water into the sea; and increasing a thickness of the ice layer by additionally misting water onto the ice layer formed at water level.
