摘要： Use of labeled monoclonal antibody 50 H.19 to detect the location and concentration of blood platelets in a host is disclosed. MAb 50 H.19 labeled with a label which can be detected from without the host (e.g. a radiolabel or NMR-label) is intravenously injected to immunoreact with platelets in vivo or is first immunoreacted in vitro with platelets, which are then intravenously injected into the host. By means of the labeled MAb 50 H.19 bound platelets it is possible to detect and locate thrombi, emboli, atherosclerotic obstructions, bacterial endocarditis and to do spleen imaging. In another embodiment of the invention, the MAb 50 H.19 is bound to an enzymatic thrombolytic agent and injected intravenously to permit the therapeutic application of the agent directly to thrombi.

摘要： Disclosed herein are chimeric antigens, comprising an hepatitis C virus (HCV) antigen and a Fc fragment of an immunoglobulin for eliciting an immune response against said antigen. The immune response is enhanced by presenting the host immune system with an immune response domain (HCV antigen from HCV core, envelope, or non-structural protein fragments) and a target binding domain (an Fc fragment). By virtue of the target binding domain, antigen presenting cells internalize and process the chimeric antigens for antigen presentation, thereby eliciting both a humoral and cellular immune response.

Radioimmunoimaging agents are described in which such antibodies are tagged with radiometals or radiohalogens. Radiolabeled monoclonal antibody 155H.7, elicited by this antigen, rapidly localizes and persists in tumor tissues, demonstrating its utility as a tumor imaging agent.

摘要： The invention provides a method for stimulating the production of antibodies to a cryptic epitope on a soluble antigen by administering to a patient having such a cryptic epitope a binding agent that binds to the soluble antigen and forming a complex between the binding agent and the soluble antigen, wherein the cryptic epitope is exposed and the patient generates antibodies that bind to the cryptic epitope.
