    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a structure by which high joint strength can be achieved by rationally combining the junction by a ferrous shape-memory alloy and the diffused junction on condition that an inexpensive ferrous shape-memory alloy is used.
      SOLUTION: When metallic members are joined by utilizing the shape recovering movement caused by heating a jointing member made of the ferrous shape-memory alloy, Al or an Al alloy containing at most 15 mass% Si is located at the position where the stress is to be applied in the recovering of the shape of the jointing member. The heating and the load application for causing the diffusion of the alloy are carried out by utilizing the heating for causing the shape recovering movement of the jointing member and the stress caused by the shape recovering movement. Thus, the metallic members are rigidly joined by combining the junction by the shape-memory alloy and the diffused junction.
