The system comprises an inlet channel; four outlet channels; four control valves, each valve being arranged so as to control the flow from the inlet channel through a corresponding one of the outlet channels; and a flow ratio control system. The flow ratio control system includes two dual antisymmetric optimal (DAO) control modules. The DAO control modules are configured and arranged so as to control the respective control valves so as to control the relative ratios of flow from the inlet channel through the four outlet channels. The flow ratio control system also includes a virtual DAO control module configured and arranged so as to control the ratio of flow between the two DAO control modules.

摘要： A fluid flow control system that includes a fluid inlet to receive a flow of process fluid and a plurality of fluid outlets. The plurality of fluid outlets include a first fluid outlet and at least one second fluid outlet. The first fluid outlet provides a first predetermined portion of the flow of process fluid, and the at least one second fluid outlet provides the remaining portion of the flow of process fluid. In one embodiment, the control system includes a pressure transducer, first and second multipliers, and first and second flow controllers. The first multiplier multiplies a pressure signal received from the pressure transducer by a first setpoint to control a first flow controller that provides the first predetermined portion of the flow of process fluid. The second multiplier multiplies the pressure signal by a second setpoint to control a second flow controller that provides the remaining portion.

摘要： A disclosed piping manifold for providing pulsating flow includes an outer tubular member extending along a longitudinal axis. The outer tubular member includes a plurality of outer radial openings. An inner tubular member is positionable within the outer tubular member and rotatable about the longitudinal axis. The inner tubular member includes a plurality of inner radial openings, an inlet port configured to receive a fluid, and a lumen providing a fluidic pathway between the plurality of inner radial openings and the inlet port. Rotation of the inner tubular member about the longitudinal axis is configured to periodically bring the plurality of inner radial openings in and out of registration with the plurality of outer radial openings to provide a plurality of pulsating flows of the fluid out of the outer radial openings.

An example active flow control system includes a plurality of nozzles arranged in an array across a surface of an aircraft. The active flow control system also includes an air source coupled to the nozzles and a controller to activate the nozzles to eject air from the air source in sequence from outboard to inboard and then from inboard to outboard to create a wave of air moving from outboard to inboard and then from inboard to outboard across the surface.
