    • The invention concerns a method and support (1) for securing a built-in part (8), which has a through-bore (9) which is approximately cylindrical relative to a horizontal axis (3), in an approximately straight recess (13) in a housing (11), the recess (13) being aligned approximately axially relative to the axis (3), and the housing (11) being disposed at a spacing above a horizontal plane (10). The built-in part (8) is secured on a supporting beam (2), which projects into the bore (9) in the latter and is part of the support (1) which is disposed on the plane (10) and can move thereover relative to the housing (11). The built-in part (8) is then introduced into the recess (13) in the housing (11) by corresponding movement of the support (1) relative thereto, secured in the housing (11) and released from the supporting beam (2). Finally, the supporting beam (2) is removed from the bore (9) in the built-in part (8). The housing (11) and built-in part (8) in particular form part of a turbogenerator.

    • Disclosed is an inventive arc quenching chamber (1) designed for a low voltage circuit breaker and resembling a two-piece housing with an interstage parting. The overlapping wall parts (5, 6) of the housing pieces (3, 4) are so measured as to allow for said pieces (3, 4) to be mounted with a variable spacing, while ensuring appropriate tightness of the interstage parting. Bearing elements (3, 4) are intended to keep the desired piece (3, 4) spacing and can consist of quenching sheet metal arranged at the piece ends. The inventive design permits, by using as identical pieces as possible, arc quenching chambers to be manufactured in various sizes and, hence, the production cost to be reduced for circuit breakers of different breaking capacities in a given manufacturing data sheet.
