    • The present invention provides an apparatus for measuring activity signals of a biological sample comprising: a measurement chamber (A) storing a target liquid containing a biological sample; a porous insulating substrate (5) provided with a measurement electrode (1) on at least one side; and a conveying device (8) which conveys the target liquid stored in the measurement chamber (A) and passes the target liquid through the porous insulating substrate (5) from the measurement electrode (1) side, wherein the conveying device (8) is operated to trap the biological sample contained in the target liquid onto the measurement electrode (1), so that the activity signals of the biological sample are measured through the measurement electrode (1). According to the apparatus, activity signals emitted from the biological sample can be detected easily, rapidly and accurately.

    • It is an object of the invention to provide an instrument for pharmacologic measurement capable of detecting a very small and short time change in electric signal caused by a pharmacologic action of a biologic specimen with quickness and a high sensitivity by steeply decreasing an external disturbance component mixed into the system while dropping/exchange of medicinal solutions is conducted in a batch mode. The pharmacologic measurement instrument 20 detects a change in electric signal caused by a pharmacologic action or electrophysiologic action of a biologic specimen, and includes: an electrically conductive box 2 having an opening section 8 at the top surface thereof; and a well vessel 19 disposed in the opening section 8 thereof, wherein the well vessel 19 includes: a base 1 having recesses 4 in which the biologic specimens 6 are put; measurement electrodes 10 formed on the bottom surfaces of the respective recesses 4; and reference electrodes 13 electrically insulated from the respective measurement electrodes 10, and the reference electrodes 13 together with the electrically conductive box 2 electrostatically shields the well vessel 19.

    • An extracellular potential measuring device includes a plate portion having a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface, and an electrode provided on the second surface of the plate portion. In the plate portion, a pocket having an opening which opens to the first surface is formed, and a through-hole communicating to the second surface from the pocket. The through-hole communicates from a position which is closer to the opening than a deepest point of the first pocket. The electrode is provided around of the opening of the through-hole. In this device, even if a cell to be examined does not reach the deepest point of the pocket, a cell membrane of the cell can tightly attaches onto the through-hole securely without a clearance. Hence, culture solution inside the through-hole is isolated from culture solution over an upper surface of the plate portion, thereby allowing electrochemical changes caused by activities of the cell to be detected efficiently with a detector electrode.

    • An antiviral composition comprising: a thiosulfate salt and at least one of thiosulfate complex salt of a metal and a porous particulate carrier; said metal being at least one selected from the group consisting of silver, copper and zinc; said salts being carried on said porous particulate carrier.
