    • A reproduction initial stage amplifier at the rotary side of a rotary head apparatus, prevents an adverse affect of a power transmission signal to a reproduction channel, operates such that a signal from a reproduction head 11 of a rotary head 10 is supplied via a reproduction initial stage amplifier 12 and via windings 22b and 22a of a rotary transformer 20 to a reproduction system 41 of the fixed side. A power signal from a power supply circuit 30 is supplied via windings 21a and 21b of the rotary transformer 20 to a rectifier circuit 15. A rectified output from the rectifier circuit 15 is supplied via a capacitor 16 for power accumulation to a regulator 17, so as to be subjected to voltage stabilization for supply to the reproduction initial stage amplifier 12. During a reproduction operation of the reproduction head 11, a control circuit 42 halts power supply from the power supply circuit 30 and a power accumulated in the capacitor 16 is supplied to the reproduction initial stage amplifier 12.

    • A setting of control information changing apparatus having first and second operational components, a setting change device, and a switching device. The setting change device changes the setting of the first control information, for example, in response to the independent operation of the first operational component, and changes the setting of the second control information in response to simultaneous operation of both of the first and the second operational components. The switching device switches the operation of the setting change device between a possible condition in which the setting change of the first control information is possible and an impossible condition in which the setting change of the first control information is not possible. When the setting change device is in the impossible condition, the first control information is not changed if the first operational component is in operation, while the second control information can be changed by the simultaneous operation of the first and the second operational components. Therefore, changing operation of the undesirable control information is certainly prohibited.

    • A white balance adjustment device adapted to be used in contexts where a photographic subject is illuminated with fluorescent lighting. The white balance adjustment device includes an imaging device for forming an image of a photographic subject and for outputting signals representing the image. An adjustment mode selection device is included for selecting a white balance adjustment mode according to the kind of light source used to illuminate the photographic subject. A measurement unit is used to measure color aspects of the light source used to illuminate the photographic subject. White balance adjustment circuitry is included to adjust the white balance of the output of the imaging device in accordance with the adjustment mode selected by the adjustment mode selection device and in accordance with the measured color aspects of the light source used to illuminate the subject. A method of performing white balance adjustment includes the steps of imaging a subject to produce a video signal representing an image of the subject, color separating the video signal into its primary light color components, measuring the color attributes of light used to illuminate the subject to produce a color measurement value, matching the color measurement value with a predetermined parameter to produce a processing parameter which corresponds to the type of light used to illuminate the subject, and performing white balance adjustment of the video signal using the processing parameter.
