摘要： A system for measuring and plotting a sequence of error values, for example the positioning errors of machine tools as a function of distance along an axis of travel, the output frequency errors in voltage controlled oscillators, and the like is described. The system for positioning error plotting comprises a laser interferometer for measuring the actual distance of movement of the machine and a novel and simple calculator system including a pair of digital-to-analog converters coupled to the interferometer for determining from this laser interferometer measurement both the desired (or assumptive) distance of movement of the machine and the error distance between the actual distance and the desired distance. By assuming the desired position of the machine, complex interconnections to its controller are avoided. The calculated error distance and distance at which the error occurred are plotted on an X-Y recorder. A similar technique is described for the calibration of voltage controlled oscillators.

摘要： A system for visually displaying interlaced data stored in a recirculating delay line. The stored data is in six functions, each function comprising three eight digit words. Data within each function is interlaced by presenting the least significant digit of all three words, followed by the next to least significant digit of all three words and so on. The data display may be single selected words or may comprise display of particular words in predetermined sequence. Sequential display of all three words in selected functions is accomplished by providing a three bit recirculating shift register. The sequencing rate is controlled by a variable frequency oscillator. It is also possible to sequentially select the data associated with each letter address. This is accomplished by way of a second recirculating shift register whose sequencing rate is also controlled by the variable frequency oscillator. As the data is selected, it is fed into a third shift register where it is stored in binary coded decimal. A BCD to decimal converter converts the contents of the third shift register to decimal format. THe output of the BCD to decimal converter feeds the display device. The rate at which the contents of the third shift register are ''''updated'''' may also be controlled by providing an oscillator whose frequency determines the ''''update'''' rate.

摘要： A data display/input method of a CNC apparatus with which personal computers used as a relay means between the CNC apparatus and a host computer and a display means can be eliminated, and an FA network system can be constructed at a low cost. The display screen of the CNC apparatus is divided into a first display region and a second display region. The information inputted to the CNC apparatus from the host computer is displayed on the first display region. The information inputted to the CNC apparatus by an operator is displayed on the second display region. By switching the display attribute of the CNC apparatus side in accordance with the display attribute of the information inputted to the CNC apparatus by the host computer, the restriction of the data display on the CNC side is eliminated, so that text data and graphic data can be displayed.

摘要： A human-machine interface (HMI) application can be separated into a framework component and one or more view components. The framework component could be responsible for generating a window with components common across multiple ones of the view components. The framework component could also select one of the view components from a pool. Content can be loaded into the selected view component and presented in a display area of the window using the selected view component. The framework component can also detect a problem associated with the content presented to the user and/or the selected view component, such as an execution error. In addition, the framework component may take corrective action to resolve the problem, such as by reloading the selected view component (which could be done automatically). In this way, errors associated with the selected view component may not cause termination of or other difficulties with the framework component.
