摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint with mechanical properties equal to or more excellent than those of original metals by friction welding of ductile cast iron. SOLUTION: The joint is obtained by applying friction welding to the ductile cast iron materials either or both of which contain 0.0005 to 0.05% Bi, and, more desirably, contain 0.0001 to 0.05% Ca and the joint maintains mechanical properties equal to or above those of the original base metals even without undergoing heat treatment after welding. The number of graphite grains to be crystallized extremely increases, and extremely fine graphite is dispersedly crystallized onto a dense base. Further, it is estimated that the exhaust of graphite in the process of the welding is efficiently performed as well, and the induction of the improvement of strength after the welding is sufficiently expected. In a high temperature state, Ca and Bi form an intermetallic compound to check the wear of Bi due to vaporization, and the original action of Bi is secured, so that its mechanical properties, particularly, elongation can further be improved.

SOLUTION: The powder coating composition for cast iron pipe contains a solid bisphenol epoxy resin, a curing agent and a filler as essential components. The solid epoxy resin is produced by reacting a bisphenol F epoxy resin with a polycondensation product of a phenol having a binuclear component content of >=90 wt.% and a ketone compound, the epoxy equivalent of the solid epoxy resin is 500-2,500 g/eq and the bonding site of the carbon atom originated from the ketone group on the aromatic ring relative to the phenyl ether group satisfies the relationship of (ortho, ortho)/(para, para)=0.01 to 0.50.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction welding method for ductile cast iron, in which a friction welding portion of ductile cast iron maintains almost the same level of elongation of the original base material without heat treatment. SOLUTION: Metal powder 2 containing at least 30% of silicone is coated on one side or both sides of connecting surfaces of two pieces of materials having the same diameter in advance, and then, a friction welding is applied to two pieces of the materials. In the friction welding method, a coated volume of the metal powder 2 is at least one-tenth and over of the product that multiplies a connecting surface area by a friction upset distance F during the friction welding. Further, a concave portion 3 is provided on the connection surface 1 so that the metal powder 2 mixing a combining agent is filled in the concave portion 3, in which the surface of the filled metal powder is the same level with the connecting surface 1. Furthermore, the deepest distance H sinking from the connecting surface 1 in the concave portion 3 does not exceed the friction upset distance F during friction welding.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject coating material remarkably excellent in a pinhole-preventing property and in the heat resistance of coating films by using bis(diglycidyloxynaphthyl) alkane as an epoxy resin for the powder coating. SOLUTION: This powder coating contains (A) bis(diglycidyloxynaphthyl) alkane and (B) a curing agent as essential components. Bis(2,7-diglycidyloxy-1- naphthyl)methane is preferable as the raw material of the component A. The epoxy resin is preferably obtained by reacting 2,7-dihydroxynaphthalene with formaldehyde and subsequently reacting the obtained bis(2,7-dihydroxy-1- naphthyl)methane of raw material phenolic compound with epichlorohydrin. The component B is preferably dicyandiamide or a phenol novolak resin. The further formulating (C) a bisphenol type epoxy resin is preferable, because the heat resistance of the powder coating is remarkably improved. Therein, the component A is preferably compounded in an amount of 20-80wt.% based on the total amount of the components A and C.
