摘要： It is possible to provide a user with an operation screen having settings with which the user is familiar, such as an operation screen that has been used in the past for this external input/output device. When a external input/output device is connected to a information processing apparatus, specific information for specifying the device is acquired. Then, from a storage device that associates and stores an operation screen for processing an image that has been handled by the external device and the specific information, a corresponding operation screen is selected based upon the specific information that has been acquired. By displaying the selected operation screen on a touch-sensitive panel display, various setting operations can be performed with regard to an image that has been input from the external input/output device.

摘要： The directions of amplitude of polarized light passing through a polarizer are concentric around a position. The polarizer is disposed on the surface of a pupil such that the position lies exactly on the center of the surface of the pupil. Rays of luminous flux of illumination light converted into polarized light by the polarizer are converged onto a wafer with concentric planes of polarization with respect to an optical axis. The illumination light is therefore incident on a photoresist as s-polarized light. Thus, the amount of light entering the photoresist is less likely to depend upon the angle of incidence. Consequently, the contrast of an optical image formed in the photoresist is improved, and hence, resolution characteristics are improved.

The tool holding device (17) puts a spare tool (T) directly on and removes a spare tool (T) directly from the tool magazine (5) at the tool transfer station. The tool holding device (17) is shifted to a position on one side of the guide rail (12) and a spare tool (T) held on the tool holding device (17) is replaced with another spare tool (T) at the tool changing station.
