    • A power supply apparatus for a traveling-wave tube disclosed herein eliminates the need for isolation through a vacuum relay or the like, and is therefore fabricated in small size and at low cost. An oscillator circuit generates an oscillating signal at a frequency optionally selected from a plurality of frequencies. An inverter is applied with the oscillating signal from the oscillator circuit to generate an AC voltage signal at the frequency of the oscillating signal. A transformer transforms the AC voltage signal generated by the inverter disposed on the primary side and supplies the resulting signal to the secondary side. A rectifier circuit, which is disposed on the secondary side, rectifies the AC voltage signal transformed by the transformer for application to the traveling-wave tube. A frequency detector circuit detects the frequency of the AC voltage signal applied from the transformer to the rectifier circuit to generate a device control signal in accordance with the frequency. A control device controls the application of a voltage to an anode electrode of the traveling-wave tube in response to the device control signal.

    • A process for producing an ink jet head having ink discharging outlets, a substrate with energy generating elements that discharge ink, ink pathways aligned with the energy generating elements and communicated with the ink discharging outlets, and a liquid chamber for storing and supplying ink into the ink pathways. The process involves providing first and second substrates, forming on the first substrate a first solid layer having a pattern for forming ink pathways while using a surface of the first substrate as bottom walls for the ink pathways, forming on the first solid layer a second solid layer with a pattern for the liquid chamber, laminating the second substrate on the first substrate such that the opening of the second substrate is sealed by the second solid layer, to obtain a stacked body with space for forming circumferential walls for the ink pathways and liquid chamber, filling the space with hardening material, hardening the hardening material, and dissolving the first and second solid layers of the stacked body to remove the first and second solid layers, thereby forming the liquid chamber and ink supplying pathways.

    • A number of semiconductor wafers are held in a ladder boat at, e.g., a 3/16 inch arrangement pitch of wafers W, and the ladder boat is loaded into a vertical heat treatment furnace. Then an interior of the heat treatment furnace is heated up to 900.degree. C. at a high temperature raising rate of, e.g., 30.degree. C./minute. Subsequently the interior is heated in steps at low temperature raising rates, e.g., at below 14.degree. C./minute up to a temperature region of, e.g., 980.degree. C. and at below 5.degree. C./minute up to a heating temperature of 1100.degree. C. These temperature raising rates are determined, based on results given by observation of presence and absence of slips in the wafers W heat-treated in various temperature raising patterns for different wafer arrangement pitches, so that the wafers can be heat-treated effectively without occurrence of slips. Widening said arrangement pitch to 3/8 inches allows higher temperature raising rates to be set.

    • Stripping paper which serves as a member for protecting the adhesive of an adhesive sheet is capable of being recycled and effectively used as a material of regenerated paper after stripped when the adhesive sheet is used, and permits beautiful printing thereon. It also provides an adhesive sheet having the stripping paper attached thereto and exhibiting new additional printing effects. In the stripping paper comprising a substrate 10, a coating layer of mineral substance 12 and a silicone film layer 13, the substrate 10 is made of relatively long fiber material, the coating layer 12 provides a smooth surface suitable for application of printing on the substrate 10 and comprises relatively fine mineral particles 11 to substantially prevent infiltration of the silicone 13a into the substrate (FIG. 1).
