摘要： This invention introduces, as one aspect, an apparatus for creating three-dimensional object model, comprising photographing means for photographing an object to be modeled for obtaining images to be used for creating the three-dimensional object model, setting means for longitudinally and latitudinally setting a relative position between the object and said photographing means, said setting means being capable of setting the object and said photographing means a plurality of different relative longitudinal and latitudinal positions, and control means for controlling said photographing means and said setting means so that a number of photographs taken from different relative longitudinal positions at a first relative latitudinal position is larger than that taken from different relative longitudinal positions at a second relative latitudinal position, the first relative latitudinal position being closer to a lateral position than the second relative latitudinal position. Accordingly, it becomes possible to minimize the number of photographs for obtaining necessary images to effectively keep a high quality three-dimensional object model, the number of user's manual operations is reduced, and the total photographing time for creating a three-dimensional object model is significantly decreased.

摘要： A music search system easily operable by a user to search for a musical piece with accuracy, a method for operating the system, and a recording medium for use with the system. A plurality of music search factors can be successively input to the system, and one or more candidate pieces are presented based on effective inputs in the input music search factors. A user can efficiently supply the system with various sorts of music search information, and can obtain an optimal search result by using a search method particularly suitable for search by each sort of information. Input score information is reproduced according to the input operation, so that the user can immediately confirm most ambiguous score information when using the score information as search information, thereby reducing the probability of the system making an unnecessary search. A presentation form in which a candidate piece is displayed can be selected from a plurality of forms, thereby enabling the user to recognize candidate pieces in various forms, from which the user will select necessary one by various methods. Thus, the user can select any musical piece in an optimal way according to his or her preference. The degrees of matching of a plurality of candidate pieces to each of musical piece search factors are evaluated and information relating to the evaluation results is simultaneously displayed, thereby suggesting, to a user, musical pieces from which one searched for by the user is probable to be found. Also, the system is substantially free from selecting failure.

摘要： In an image encoding apparatus, conversion data obtained by converting image information onto a frequency region, and corresponding to several frames are parallelly output using a one-frame-period delay circuit. The parallelly output conversion data are quantized by a quantization circuit, and a data amount to be obtained when the quantized data are encoded is obtained by a variable-length coding circuit. The data amount information is input to a coefficient operation circuit for determining a quantization step of the next stage. Conversion data quantized according to an output from the coefficient operation circuit are encoded, and the encoded data are output.
