摘要： PURPOSE:To enlarge the operational range of pump by installing a water turbine or a turbine on the pump drive shaft of internal pump type BWR thereby reducing the time constant upon reduction of flow caused through stoppage of internal pump. CONSTITUTION:Water turbine 18 for driving an internal pump is installed between the impeller 13 of internal pump and primary seal 24. The inlet 17 of water turbine is opened to the diffuser 14 while a piping 19 is coupled to the outlet. The piping 19 is coupled through a valve 20 to a discharge tank 23 to normally close the valve 20. Upon detection of stoppage of pump from the voltage of power source 21 to open the valve 20, a portion 16 of cooling water 12 will drive the water turbine to keep rotation of pump.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make the titled system have performance of high heat collectivity at a heat collecting temperature of 90 deg.C and more by a method wherein a heat collecting unit which consists of a heat collecting pipe and a heat collecting plate is installed upright and an upper heat insulating material is formed thicker than a lower one. CONSTITUTION:An outer casing 5 of a flat plate type heat collector is stood upright and an upper heat insulating material is made thicker. Normally, heat conductivity through a normal convection on a horizontal plate is several times as big as that applicable on a vertical plate. Therefore, the heat conductivity is deteriorated and a convection loss is reduced by making the outer casing 5 stand upright. Furthermore, heat insulation can be maintained by thickening the upper part 6 of the heat insulation material as the upper part becomes more hot, in a space between a glass cover 1 and a heat collecting plate 3. Thermal efficiency can be increased also by a method wherein a reflected light 9 is permeated through the glass cover 1 by providing a reflector 7 at the lower part.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flatten output distribution even in the latter half of a fuel cycle by positioning the opening part of an upper cooling material descent channel at an upper portion as compared with that of a lower one. SOLUTION: A water rod 4 is composed of upper and lower stages, and a cooling material inflow port 5 at the lower end part of cooling material ascent channels 7 passes through the fuel rod support part of a lower tie plate 3 for opening into the space of the lower tie plate 3. Also, the upper cooling material ascent channel 7 becomes the internal pipe in the lower cooling material ascent channel 7, and the cooling material inflow port 5 is connected to the upper water rod. Furthermore, the upper and lower parts have an inversion part that is connected to a cooling material descent channels 8 at the upper end part of the cooling material ascent channel 7, and a cooling material discharge port 6 at the lower end of the cooling material descent channel 8 is opened upward as compared with the fuel rod support part. At the opening part, an upper part is positioned upward as compared with a lower one, thus setting the water level of cooling material in the upper cooling material ascent channel 7 higher than that in the lower cooling material ascent channel 7, and hence flattening output distribution even in the latter half of a fuel cycle.

Regarding the assemblies 1-3, the ratio of a moderator to a fuel in a region including a bypass flow route in the circumference of each assembly is made the same mutually, and regarding the assembly 4, the thickness of a channel box is made thicker at least partially than other fuel assemblies and the ratio of a moderator to a fuel in a region including a bypass flow route in the circumference of the assembly 4 is made lower than those of the assemblies 1-3. The assembly 4 is almost uniformly loaded the inside part except the outer most circumference of the core.
