    • PURPOSE:To achieve security of sufficient reliability by improving sealing performance of a resistor by a method wherein the whole surface of the resistor containing a local position of a trimmed channel after trimming are coated by an inorganic material. CONSTITUTION:An inorganic protective coat film 16 is formed on a surface of a resistor 13 containing a local position 15 of which a resistance value is adjusted by a physical method on the thick film resistor 13 in an electronic circuit device in which electronic parts are mounted on a ceramics substrate, the electronic parts are connected with a thick film conductor wiring 12 burnt on the ceramic substrate 11, and a thick film resistor 13 of which a resistance value is adjusted by physical method is arranged. This in organic protective coat film 16 is formed at a low temperature to an extent that variation in resistance value of the resistor after trimming can be actually negligible. For instance, it can be formed by applying metal alkoxide solution to a surface of the resistor and by making a dehydration condensating reaction proceed by using irradiation of light with an ultra violet radiation source. Therefore, even though the protective coat film is formed on a surface of the thick film resistor after trimming, variation in resistance value due to that is extremely small, and high reliability of an extremely stabilized characteristic can be secured.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent oxygen from being generated by electrolysis of water and the component parts of a methanol fuel cell from being deteriorated so as to enhance the reliability of the methanol fuel cell and make the cell life longer by causing methanol contained in an anolyte and water to electrically and chemically react with each other within a manifold in order to yield carbon dioxide gas and hydrogen gas. CONSTITUTION:When anolyte 50 is fed into a methanol fuel cell from an anolyte entrance 52 a fuel chamber 51 is filled with the anolyte 50 through the manifold 42 of a carbon separator 40 as a main pipeline and through a branching line 43, and when air 60 of an oxidizing agent is fed into an oxidizing agent chamber 61 a potential difference between the fuel electrode 20 and oxidizing agent electrode 30 of each single cell occurs so that the single cells are connected in series. Under these conditions, liquid short-circuit occurs as in the electrical equivalent circuit of a cell stack 3 so that a current is caused to flow through the anolyte 50. In this case, current flows first from an auxiliary electrode 87 having catalyst and a reaction occurs in the auxiliary electrode 87 so that carbon dioxide gas and hydrogen gas are produced. Thus generation of oxygen causing electrolyte corrosion of the carbon separator 40 is restratined and the life of a laminated cell device is extended.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the mistaken measurement of a blood flow direction by correcting a Doppler frequency obtained with wave transmission intervals T and T+Ts by means of a correcting value. CONSTITUTION:In the wave transmitting part of an ultrasonic pulse, the section of the pulse string of the wave transmission interval T and the section of the pulse string of the wave transmission interval T+Ts are provided, an additional mean phase difference vector is obtained as to the wave transmission interval T, a declination is detected, the additional mean phase difference vector is obtained as to the wave transmission interval T+Ts, and the declination is detected. Next, in a Doppler signal to be made to pass a filter with a characteristic common to both the wave transmission intervals T and T+Ts, the vector of the difference between the phase differences is obtained, a value, in which a declination argZ and T/Ts are multiplied, is made into an index, and the correcting value is obtained. The Doppler frequency obtained with the wave transmission intervals T and T+Ts is corrected with the correcting value, and fold over is prevented.
