    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic device and a diagnostic terminal wide in coverage mainly intended for electronic components as the diagnostic device for a moving body and high in accuracy even in an uncertain load condition or surrounding situation.
      SOLUTION: A diagnostic means 14 is intended for diagnosing an inverter 11 mounted to the moving body 10. The diagnostic means 14 is composed of some subordinate means. A sample holder 21 converts signals obtained from state quantity acquiring means 12 (12a, 12b), into time-series signals. A peak extracting means 22 extracts the peak of the time-series signals to compress information. A waveform temporary storage means 23 temporarily stores time-series data. A hysteresis loop extracting means 24 extracts a feature quantity related to wear, from the time-series data and deletes time-series data which has become unnecessary. A loop analysis means 25 calculates wear given to a diagnosed object by waveform extracted from the feature quantity related to wear.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the abnormality of a gate current and to protect a power conversion apparatus by a method wherein a Rogowski coil is mounted at the inside of a hole in a printed-circuit board. SOLUTION: A Rogowski coil 6 in which a spiral coil is formed in a circumferential shape and which is covered with an insulating member is arranged at the inside of a hole in a printed-circuit board 5, and it is installed so as to be situated between a cathode electrode 7 and an annular gate electrode 3 when a gate turn-off thyristor GTO1 is mounted on the printed-circuit board 5. The output wire of the Rogowski coil 6 is connected, by a coaxial cable, to a current detector which is provided at the inside of a driver circuit 4. The current detector is provided with an integrating means which integrates the output of the Rogowski coil 6, and the GTO1 is controlled so as to be turned on and off according to the output of the integrating means. In this manner, a cathode current can be detected by using the Rogowski coil 6, the shortage of the gate current or the breakdown of the GTO1 is detected on the basis of the detection value of the cathode current, and the operation of this power conversion apparatus can be stopped.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the suppressed amount of di/dt and dv/dt variable when an IGBT is turned off by a method wherein a power drop means is changed over to a power rise means according to the detected value of the operating state of a voltage driven switching element. SOLUTION: In a IGBT module 102 to which a gate drive circuit 101 is connected, the output of a drive means 107 which amplifies a signal used to control an IGBT so as to be turned on and off is connected to the gate and the emitter of the IGBT. In addition, a power rise means 105 and a power drop means 106 which make its output voltage transiently variable are connected in series with the drive means 107. The changeover of the power drop means 106 to the power rise means 105 is performed by the operating state (the collector voltage, the collector current or the gate voltage) of the IGBT. In this case, the changeover is performed at a time when the gate voltage which is set by a reference-voltage setting means 108 exceeds a reference voltage. As a result, while the switching time or the loss of this voltage driven switching element is being suppressed, it is possible to restrain di/dt and dv/dt in the switching operation of the IGBT.
