    • PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of a standing wave while keeping the function of a centrifugal compressor, and reduce the generation of vibration or noise by setting a resonance type silencer having a section in the part of a node in the standing wave generated in a diffuser. CONSTITUTION:When a centrifugal compressor is operated, a standing wave 2 by a columnar resonance having the part enclosed by a diffuser vane 1 and a diffuser wall vertical thereto as a resonance tube is internally generated in a diffuser. The noise generated by the standing wave 2 is most influenced by those generated by the sound wave having a half wavelength substantially equal to the diffuser length. Thus, a resonance type silencer 3 having a section is set in the part of a node in the standing wave 2. Namely, the resonance type silencer 3 having a substantially middle radius between the inlet radius and outlet radius of the diffuser vane 1 having a rotating shaft as the center and a circular inlet hole is arranged in the diffuser vane 1. The generation of the standing wave 2 is thus suppressed to reduce the generation of vibration or noise.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate thermal affection, facilitate center aligning of a rotor, and preclude ill influence of the encapsulated liquid by furnishing a counter-drive side bearing with rolling elements between inner cylindrical shaft and outer cylindrical shaft and a mechanism to hold the rolling elements, providing freedom from the motion in the direction of rotational axis, and reserving possibility of force transmission in the radial and circumferential directions. CONSTITUTION:A counter-drive side bearing is equipped with rolling elements 7 between inner cylindrical shaft 1 and outer cylindrical shaft 2 and a mechanism to hold them (groove 11 and hole 13), and thereby possible affection of thermal expansion in the direction of rotational axis is absorbed by a taper formed on the inner ring 10 to provide freedom, while force transmission is allowed in the radial direction. This eliminates receiving affection of thermal expansion, facilitates center aligning of rotor, eliminates risk of torque application between the inner cylindrical shaft 1 and outer cylindrical shaft 2, liberates a sealing mechanism from ill influence, and nullifies detrimental influence of the encapsulated liquid. Thus a rotor with stable operation is achieved.

    • PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for reaching a superconducting state and make the superconducting state easier to maintain by suppressing radiation of heat to a low level and prevent humidity as well as adhesion of dust and then obtain stable magnetic levitation by coating the whole surface of a high temperature superconducting material with a non-magnetic material that is superior in thermal conductivity and hold a low coefficient of radiation. CONSTITUTION:The whole surface of a high temperature superconducting material 1 is treated by coating 2 with a non-magnetic material that is superior in thermal conductivity and hold a low coefficient of radiation and a thermal conductive rod that is superior in thermal conductivity is immersed in a cooling medium in order to lead the said coated superconducting material 1 to a low temperature that is up to a critical temperature. The said material 1 which is cooled through the thermal conductive rod 4 is thus cooled efficiently and the time required for reaching a superconducting state is shortened. Then radiation of heat by the said material 1 is suppressed to a low level to avoid humidity of its material. In this way stable magnetic levitation is achieved by obtaining a uniform magnetic repelling force.
