    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a color filter, by which a residue generated on a flattened layer can be suppressed.SOLUTION: The production method of a color filter comprises: flattening and removing a colored layer of a second color by a flattening process; and removing a colored layer of a third color by exposure and development using photolithographic techniques. The step of flattening is carried out after a step of depositing the second colored layer and prior to a patterning step by dry etching, or after the patterning step by dry etching and prior to step (5) of depositing the third colored radiation-sensitive layer. A first colored composition comprises a colorant and a resin; and the content of the colorant is 60 mass% or more with respect to the whole solid content of the first colored composition. The solid content acid value of a resin having the largest solid content acid value is 80 mgKOH/g or less.
