    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To considerably improve both characteristics of the strength and fatigue resistance of a conventional high strength and high corrosion resistance product by providing a precipitation hardening type metastable austenitic stainless steel wire and material therefor, the precipitation hardening type metastable austenitic stainless steel wire being material for the high strength and high corrosion resistance product.SOLUTION: The precipitation hardening type stainless steel wire for a high strength product excellent in fatigue resistance is provided which contains, by mass%, 0.02-0.15% C, 0.1-4.0% Si, 0.1-10.0% Mn, 3.0-9.0% Ni, 13.0-19.0% Cr, 0.1-4.0% Mo, 0.35-3.0% Al, 0.01-0.20% Ti, ≤0.05% N, ≤0.004% O and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, the precipitation hardening type stainless steel wire has an Md30 value shown by expression (a) of-10 to 70 and an Ng value in expression (b) of N content to 0.10 and a tensile strength of ≥2,000 N/mm. A production method for the precipitation hardening type stainless steel wire for a high strength product excellent in fatigue resistance is also provided.
