摘要： Stabilizer compositions are provided whose ingredients interact synergistically to improve the resistance to deterioration on light exposure and heating of synthetic resin compositions. The interacting ingredients are (a) a carboxylic acid ester of a 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-4-alcohol having 15 to 75 carbon atoms and 1 to 4 ester groups, and (b) at least one carbonate ester of an ortho-substituted polyhydric phenol having in the molecule one to three benzenoid rings, two to three phenolic hydroxyl groups, and in each benzenoid ring one to two alkyl, cycloalkyl, or aralkyl groups of which at least one is positioned ortho to a phenolic hydroxyl group.Synthetic resin compositions are provided that are stabilized with thestabilizer compositions disclosed, including olefin polymers, polyamides, acrylic polymers, and vinyl halide polymers.

摘要： Synthetic resin compositions of improved resistance to deterioration by heat and light are provided containing a 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl piperidyl ether having the formula: ##STR1## The compounds of the invention can be prepared by the reaction of the 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl piperidyl alcohol R.sub.1 -OH with (poly) trimethylol alkane, (poly) pentaerthritol, or an alcohol containing an oxetane ring, to form the ether.The etherification is carried out by the conventional method, for example, by the reaction of R.sub.1 -OH with the organic sulfonate of the above-mentioned alcohols, or by the reaction of R.sub.1 -OH with the halogenated above-mentioned alcohols in the presence of an alkali or acid acceptor.The compounds where n is equal to 2 or more can be prepared by chain opening polymerization of the corresponding compound containing the oxetane ring.

摘要： An environmentally acceptable stabilizer composition is provided for enhancing the resistance to deterioration upon heating at 175.degree. C. of a vinyl chloride polymer from which lead, cadmium, mercury, thallium, and arsenic are substantially excluded, comprising (A) at least one zinc, alkali metal, or alkaline earth metal organic phosphate ester salt having per metal atom from one to a number equal to the valence of the metal of phosphate ester groups and from one to two organic groups per phosphate groups, the organic groups being alkyl, aryl, alkaryl, aralkyl, ether-interrupted allyl, or ether-interrupted aralkyl groups having from 1 to about 80 carbon atoms; and (B) at least one betadiketone compound having 5 to about 30 carbon atoms which is a cyclic or open-chain betadiketone or a zinc, alkali metal or alkaline earth metal salt thereof.A stabilized vinyl chloride polymer composition in which the environmentally acceptable composition is used as stabilizer is also provided.
